Well explained Dogmad. All very valid and reasonable points. I agree that is the dog rescue's perogative to carefully choose where the dogs they have cared for go. This is the dogs chance at a happy and appropriate home and they just want to make absolutely sure that the dog's welfare is top priority. I'm in two minds about the full time thing though. But again I think it needs to be judged on a case by case situation.

It's huge . Got it for a Rottweiler and she has plenty of room in there and then some Actually mine is the next size up from the one you posted but the same crate.

I ordered mine on Saturday too and it arrived yesterday at lunchtime. The crate is huge and well constructed. Quite light too. I'm very happy with it and will definately be checking the site for bargains again!!

Using dettol is incredibly cruel. It is a neuro toxin and would be the most painful death for the toads. I know they are a pest but they are still animals and don't deserve to die that way. The fridge then freezer method seems to be the most humane way to go. When we lived in Cairns we used fortnightly Advantix on the dogs and never found a single tick on them. Pretty expensive but money I was fully prepared to spend.

Rest easy gorgeous Gabrielle What amazing people you all are to try everything to save this beautiful little girl. The hardest thing to do is always the kindest and Gabrielle would have loved being cuddled by such wonderful and dedicated ladies. Di you did everything you could. Know that you do so much for these deserving dogs and so many have wonderful and loving homes.

What a champ... and handsome too!!! I saw Pepe perform at the Canberra show this year (i'm positive it was him!!) Very exciting to see a DOL dog perform.
