Wow, they are amazing!! I wish i knew how to attach photo's!!! My partner is away but i'll get him to put some up of Sammy when he gets back.
-
Hi, I cant offer any advice but just wanted to say what a stunning photo of your puppy that is!!!
-
Thanks for your kind words Granny. I have two other dogs at home, both are rescues, and both are oldies. I adopted Sammy when she was four so she died at 12 years of age. My other two are 8 and 10 years old and miss Sammy terribly. I will always have rescue dogs, especially the older dogs. They are just so special.

Thank you all for your kind words at a very painful time. It means a lot to me. I know sammy is at peace now but it's just hurts so much without her around.

RIP Keeto. So sorry for your loss.

It is with a shattered heart that i had to say goodbye to my beautiful girl Sammy last night. Sammy, i found and fell in love with you at the pound in darwin 8 years ago and you have been by my side ever since. I want to tell you that you have never let me down, never failed to cheer me up when i was sad and shared all my happy times. I have enjoyed every minute of our precious time together. How i will go on without you i dont know..... but i do know that it will never be the same. I will miss your stunning grey face and smiling eyes, i will miss constantly sweeping up your hair and the sound of your feet running to the cupboard when you hear it open ready for a 'scooby snack'. But mostly i will miss you by my side. Sammy, you will never know how hard it was to let you go last night, Im sorry that i wasn't brave and im sorry that i let you down. Please forgive me. No more needles everyday baby, no more struggleing to breathe..... just lie in the sun on your princess bed and wait for me. I love you so much and the tears wont stop just yet. RIP scoobs, Im so proud of you and so glad i got to hold you in my arms as you took your last breath. Goodbye baby girl.

Your 'little miss' photo is an absolute classic!! What a stunning stafford. My Stafford puts on that exact same face when i put her jumper on!! -
RIP Jordan. It never gets easier does it? :D

What a beautiful tribute, it made me cry! Your daughter did Daisy proud. Clearly a much loved and cherished doggie. RIP beautiful old girl.

I agree! Im also vegetarian but i wouldn't dream of denying my dogs meat. I have seen some health shops selling vegan dog food. Poor buggers that have to eat it!!

Letting My Girl Inside And Outside At Night
baifra replied to Justchillin's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hi Ben, My dogs are both inside and outside dogs. They have a doggie door and can come and go as they please so i cant really help you with your current situation, but i just wanted to say that your dog is beautiful and i love the pictures of Lucy in your signature. -
Thanks for that info, I have filled out the survey.
-
Im sure he will love it when he gets used to it. My girl just puts her head down and really concentrates and she can walk for a good half hour. She is so used to the walker that she jumps up on it when it's walk time.

My red heeler loves going on the treadmill. I would never tie the dog to the machine cause if they stop running they will fall off the back and potentially really hurt themselves. I sit at the end of the machine and talk to her giving her encouragement and as missymoo said, i have my hand close to the emergency stop button.
-
Poor baby, I hope it isnt too serious. They break your heart when they cry dont they?
-
RIP little man. Poor bugger and poor family. My thoughts are with them. I have a red heeler so i know what wonderful dogs they are.
-
Im glad your girl is ok. Very lucky that yout vet is up to date with the latest research!! Poor bugger!! I cant imagine copping a stick in the eye to be much fun!!

RIP old girl. So sorry for your loss.

Thats fantastic news. Spice must be feeling so much better with stable BSL's. Good work. Hope they stay that way. She is looking beautiful in the photo's!!
-
Poor Spice, she just cant seem to get a break!!! There seems to be something else going on. BSL's just shouldn't swing that much. I know you want her home ASAP but the most important thing is getting these BSL's under control well and truly. All this back and forth can be contributing to her levels. Stress plays havoc on the poor buggers!!
-
Oh what a nightmare!! Poor lady and poor old Kelly. RIP lovely lady
-
Hi Kadbury, Good questions, I cant really answer them for you given that my Sammy was overweight, older and on steroids. So she had diabetes written all over her!!!! However Spice's overall poor condition with infections and poor teeth are probably more the cause of her unstable BSL's than a misdiagnosis of diabetes. It is such a fine balance to get insulin doses spot on in a dog with no other medical problems let alone poor Spice with her Multiple issues. Poor darling, I wouldn't want that silly thing on my head either but she does look bright and alert and her BSL's are not dangerously low. She probably feels quite good with blood sugars in the range they are now!!
-
That is a big drop in BSL. Maybe it came down a little too quickly and they want to find a happy medium before they discharge her. It is hard leaving your doggie behind at the vets isnt it? Keep your chin up, she is a fighter!!
