I know what you mean carlibud. I lost my 12 year old girl a month ago yesterday and i just have to stumble accross a hair of hers and it sets me off. I still cant move her bed. Thats the last place she was laying before i had to take her on her last trip. It's supposed to get easier. I hope it does cause my heart breaks over and over again everyday. Hugs to you.

I feed mine the occasional banana and it hasn't hurt them. They love them.

No offence But where did you come by the idea that there is no pack structure? Everything in dog pyschology and the study of their evolution says that they are a pack animal. I agree with everyone else about seperating the dogs when they are eating. Corvus, you need to do some research on the dog species and their behaviours.

RIP :rolleyes: beautiful girl So glad you got to hold your girl when she went to the bridge. As painful as that was, Tieke loves you for doing it for her. She knew it would have been the hardest thing for you to do but she needed you to hold her. I had to do the same thing for my girl two weeks ago and i too held my baby as she left us. The pain does ease a little and i promise you even start to smile when you think of her instead of cry. My heart goes out to you at this very sad time. big hugs to you and your family.

ahh yes that is what it is called. I had my dogs skin tested first, again on my vets recommendation, and it works well.

Hi there, I moved to cairns in janurary and the vets all recommended advantix bimonthly. My vet stated that frontline was basically useless (as that was what i was using) I also use the proban tablets and the vets also recommended a fortnightly wash but i cant remember the name of it sorry. I havnt found a tick on them yet and we walk in grassland and swampy areas daily!!

Hi Loraine, sorry to hear about your arm. I would be taking Zedley to the vet. Any blood in vomit cant be good whether it is minor or not. Even if he feels better today, you never know. Was the blood old looking or fresh? did it have clots in it. Was it a lot or small amount of blood? Maybe just for peace of mind, it would be best to get him looked at. Good luck with Zedley (love his name!! )

Hi Harminee, This is Sammy, She was a rescue so im not sure of her birthdate but she was born in 1996 and died on the 28/4/08. Thank you so much for these beautiful tributes. They are wonderful. And a big thank you to deerhoundlover for showing me how to load photo's. It took ages but i got there!
