Hi, I had a dog with diabetes as well. We lost her in April this year due to heart failure at 12 years old. I have plenty of syringes left over that I would be happy to send to you. Assuming that syringes can be sent in the post? We didn't have Sammy on a particular diabetic diet but we adjusted her food as per her Blood Glucose levels. She had raw and dried food. It takes time to adjust but you will get there!! Good luck with it. At first it is all a little overwhelming but soon it will be so routine you won't know any different. Let me know if your interested in the syringes.

Oh Rhino!!! I followed this little guy's story. Poor little man and poor poor men who had to see their little workmate go so devastatingly!! Hopefully it was quick and Rhino went 'on the job' My thoughts are with the family and friends of Rhino tonight. RIP Handsome.

My parents had a bag of about 6 apples that they were going to throw out as they were past their best. Pele loves apples and we share one at the beach everyday, so I took them home, cored them, stuck them through the food processor and froze it in some small containers and an icecube tray. I'll use the apple with yoghurt or cottage cheese (she loves that too), or even toss a small container of apple on the lawn for her to lick and enjoy on a warm day Oh great idea!! I'm going to steal that idea for my girls. Thanks

RIP handsome Scooby He sounds like he had the most wonderful life with you full of fun and love. He also sounds like he gave you support and comfort just when you needed it. It doesn't matter how long you have had a dog as they only take a minute to find their way into your heart for ever. Take care and so sorry for your loss. It's devastating I know.

You did a lovely thing for the owners. As upsetting as it was for you to do, at least the owners have their pet back and know what happened to it. Wish there were more people around like you.

Poor bugger!! I remember this story and it still makes me feel sick thinking about it. How anyone can pretend not to know the reason behind an injury and fail to treat the 'real' injury with the correct medication and care is incomprehensible. I'm glad Beau is healing well and comend you on how you have handled this situation.

When I lived in Canberra I took my girls to West Queanbeyan Vets also. They are fantastic and their prices were very reasonable.

RIP Duke. You made so many people happy. So handsome. I don't know why but I find it so much sadder when a man loses his beloved dog, they just seem to struggle through their emotions and it's heartbreaking to watch. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Get up mega early before work and take him on a long energietic walk to wear him out!!! It will hurt but it will also hopefully make him tired enough to sleep most of the day.

Oh how terrible!! :D RIP poor roo. I have hit two roo's in the past and I find it very distressing. The first one jumped away before I had a chance to check it out but it was a BIG hit as I was on the highway at 110km/hr and literally saw it as I hit it!! At least you know it is dead and not lying there suffering.

Oh how bloody devastating for you!!! Follow it through. The owners need to take some responsibility. They offer a service (pet friendly accom) so need to ensure that it really is pet friendly!!! Ratbait should not be left in an easily accessable area period!! Take care. I hope your two little ones pull through.

RIP Bunny Boy How devastating for you. At least he died in your arms with love and cuddles. You did the best you could to save him. Take care of yourself.

This is just devastating for you and your family. When the time comes I think you will know. They lose a sparkle in their eye (thats what happened with my old Sammy when it was time) And yes it will break your heart into tiny pieces BUT know that you have given this little darling the most wonderful and loving home. You have shown her a life free from pain and fear. It is the ultimate selfless act you can possibly give her. Sending her to Rainbow bridge is probably one of the hardest things you will ever do but she will love you for setting her free. Dogs have an amazing ability to adjust and given time I'm sure that your other little one will cope. Give them time and they will be ok. My heart breaks for you and I wish you all the best.

RIP beautiful brave Sophie My heart breaks for you cavNrott. You fought so hard ensuring that Sophie had a wonderful life free from pain and fear. The bond between you and Sophie was quite obvious and although an enormous whole is now left in your life, rest assured that Sophie will always live on in your heart. She will always be a part of you. There are many many people here shedding a lots of tears with you right now. Take care of yourself.

RIP beautiful Kirah How devastating for you. My thoughts are with you. It's the hardest thing to do for your beloved dog but also the kindest. She knew that you were doing the right thing. My heart goes out to you on this very hard day.
