Groomers In Sa That Handstrip
AnimalMad replied to AnimalMad's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
will find out exactly where, i don't think they were too concerned with travel if they could find the right groomer. I'll get in contact with them and find out what suburb they are moving to. -
i have 3 crazed Soft Coated Wheatens Bringing Nellie & Ciara (and Shaemus if he behaves). This will be Ciara's first visit to Kepala, she is only 6 months old.
-
I am 90% sure i'll be at this one, haven't been to a meet since summer. I'll just be bringing the girls (Nellie & Ciara) as i just know Shaemus will end up injuring himself especially when we are just praying he doesn't do any further damage to his cruciate :/

One of my clients is moving to SA and has a Westie that is groomed by me and comes in roughly every 4-6 weeks. The dog normally gets hand-stripped, she has been groomed since she was 16weeks and has never given me any trouble. Can anyone recommend a good groomer that hand strips? The owners have said they are willing to travel if they find the right groomer.

My 5yo SCWT suffers from arthritis and is borderline needing to have his ACL done on his right leg. He has been taking Rimadyl on and off as needed for the past 12months and is also on Carporfen & Metacam. I am yet to see any issues with him other than him refusing to take any tablet. I make sure the tablet is always given with a full meal. Am i one of the few who's dogs have never had issues with this drug? Sorry for the loss of your beautiful Bailey xx

I just had a little fluffy x in for grooming that i suggested to the owners to have removed while being desexed. I've seen so many curled over rear dew claws on these little fluffy x's lately!!

Pets at Home Plenty Valley have a DIY you could do them yourself? Otherwise in exchange for a nice show bunny i'd do them for you

Couldn't agree more! Was such a waste of $$ this year..it will make me reconscider whether i go in the future. I think i spent more time trying to stay awake and not look like i was falling asleep than actually taking notes!

Groomer Recomendation For Melbourne - Outer East
AnimalMad replied to puppymum's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have sent you a pm. We might be able to help if you say how you would like it to look so we can explain what to do? -
I have an EZYCoat Stand Dryer..the hose also melts on this dryer so i use it without the hose. i'd reccomend the double k dryer i've heard great things about it

Yesterday the beautiful Milo was sadly put to sleep after being attacked while in his run. We don't know what attacked him but he suffered injuries to his head and shoulder. Milo was one of the dogs, he was most at home when he was with the dogs, he never believed he was a bunny. I hadn't had him long but he made a big impact on our lives with his cheeky outgoing personality. We will miss you Milo

I have one, rarely use it as it does scare some dogs. i took the orange cap off though as it annoyed me. you can buy them for around $15-20 normally

I've channged my favourite now i want Polly now!!
-
Gosh they are growing up so fast!!! Love little Polly
-
Also suggest a vet visit is needed. sounds like an eye infection

My 4yo dog is on the same course of shots as Lola, he is now up to 3 monthly injections which seem to make a difference in his arthritis. We have him on a joint formula to help maintain his joints but the cartrophen seems to make a big difference.
-
now you mention it she does!! Congrats on your lovely new pup Little Tails!

Can't Decide On Which Hydrobath!
AnimalMad replied to JulesP's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I bought a 2nd hand bath from Melbourne Dog Centre, i have had it for around 3 years and it had been used for about 5+ years before i got it. It is pretty worn but still does a great job, has a few chips in the bath but nothing major. -
Congrats with the puppies, thought to look here after seeing your FB post hope all goes well with the puppies, keep us updated regularly hehe

Has anyine actually read the instruction book for the Pedi Paws? Makes for an interesting read..tells you how to 'pin' your dog so it sits calmly for the filing and such. really doesn't create a great picture for the so called gentle trimmer.
