Hi all, A beautiful female golden retriever is in city of stirling pound. She came into my work a couple weeks ago and she was sent there can't believe no one has claimed her! We had done as our protocol states and contact surrounded clinics and councils and there has been nothing. So she has done the holding period at the pound and is now up for adoption. She is around 1-2yrs old, no tattoo so prob unsterilized, in great condition, very hyper! but sweet natured. Hate to see her stay any longer Any ideas? Thanks

get the vet to show you how to do it first if you do it incorretly you can damage or even burst the glands.

Barf Diet - Scientific Evidence
OhMarley replied to ncarter's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
many food companies will give staff free food, vouchers in terms of clinics if they sell a certain amount of food they get some sort of reward etc just like any big buisness they want their product to be pushed so they offer deals with clinics if they reach a certain profit margin -
Barf Diet - Scientific Evidence
OhMarley replied to ncarter's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Marley since he was a pup has had issues with food gets diahorrea, itchy skin, vomiting. We tried all sorts of things and the only thing that has really worked has been a raw diet. he is so good now, his poos are normal he's a lot less itchy, coat is shiney he looks fantastic. I have no idea if their is scientific evidance to back it up but my experience with marley is enough for me! i work in the vet industry and the big food companies only want to promote their product, most vets go on what food companies say as they get insentives etc so i think its commen sense that vets in magazines have no idea what their talking about, their parrots and just repeat what they're told -
RIP Mahli what devastating news

Vets All Natural Complete Mix

I use it with Marley and have found it to be wonderful. He has major digestive issues and was suffering from chronic diahorrea, the undigestable grain help bind poop together and add roughage. I really like this product! -
I have a full colour kit but after playing around with it on Marley and a few of my friends dogs i've started to run out, i got the kit a year ago in Sydney. Just wondering if anyone knows where In aus I can order it from?

It can be such a frustrating job but nothing beats the reaction from the owners when they get a very clean well groomed doggie back + xmas bows I will always do what i can for polite and understanding people, the moment someone is rude then thats it! And i have a very good memory i dont forget rude people readily! So a lesson to all, make appointments around ANY holiday period in advance, write the date down and DO NOT miss your appointment there simply isnt the time or space to reschedule if u miss it!!! And be polite! We're just trying to do a jobs at a very stressful and busy time of the year and abusing us will NOT get u where u want... in fact it'll take u 10 steps back! -
Well friday is my day off however work just called to say some man came him with his dog insisting that he had a grooming appointment today! Well they informed him I dont work fridays and he said "No we have special arrangements and she's coming in to groom just my dog and have him ready by 1" .... sure mate i'm going to come into work for just 1 dog on my only day off!? Don't you just love the x-mas spirit, people will pull anything at this time of the year! They realise they've left it too late, everywhere is booked out so they think if they just rock up and insist they did have an appointment you'll squeeze them in! Anyone else have to deal with this?!?! That and abuse on the phone when you tell people you're booked out on the 24th dec and have been for around 4months... BUT I NEED MY DOG GROOMED BEFORE CHRISTMAS!! One again sorry mate that you've neglected your dog and now the relatives are coming around and will see that...not my problem how about being a responsible pet owner and a little moreo organised! The closer it gets to xmas the more people just turn up on my grooming days claiming they had appointment, they lie to the nurses but when i come out ha ha! quickly back down with ..oh maybe i did get the dates wrong/ wrong clinic. And as for the 'man' from today the stupid nurse admitted him and now THEY have to groom him ... ha ha... poor dog after seeing their cat clips the dogs going to look tragic, however thats what you get for lying! Well that's my vent i'll be glad when xmas is over and people stop acting so crazy... oh wait NEW YEARS is just around the corner

Anyone know any good dog training places NOR in perth? I think it would be good for Marley to go on and do further training, he's mischevious... i think it would be good to get that evil mind onto some training Would like to find a group that doesnt use rough techniques i'm not down with that sort of thing...

Its just a big game to him, he's such a silly puppy dog. He loves to play LOVEEEEEEES to play and his favourite game is steal and run...! I think we may have to head back to some obedience training before he gets himself into too much trouble! -
