  1. Hi.... have a friend who has a dog who continues to chase her horses when they run around the paddock..... Is this to stop a dog barking or a remote shock type collar to discipline other things!!!!!
  2. Hey Jules.... Good time to buy a D300 as the D700 came out on 1/7........The D700 is a full frame but Michaels probably sussed this all out hey!!! Hope you're feelin better !!!!!! Might email you......how depressing is this weather.......! Leanne
  3. The cold tea definitely works a treat.....my in-laws american bulldog had yellow thick muck coming from her eyes for weeks and went through tubes of goo from the vet which only helped momentarily and then it would be back the next day....used the cold tea and it was gone in 24 hrs......colloidal silver works really well also......you can check another thread about that one .....make sure you've got 3 hours to read it though as there are some varying opinions on it.....
  4. We have had a CS 'maker' if you like for many years.......have had fantastic results with gastros including vomiting and dihorreah in our family - both 2 and 4 legged variety....also with throat infections.......Had a horse with revolting yellow creamy discharge coming from her eyes for 2 days on a veterinary prescription......started bathing with CS and was totally fine within 12-24 hours......definitely worked for us and we never turned blue....... As with most things given in 'moderation' CS is safe for our family.
  5. Glad things are working better for your Barkly boy.....extreeeeeeeemely photogenic I must say!!!! So.....what camera, lenses etc are you using??? Not suggesting it's the camera that's so talented though!!!!!
  6. Hi My in-laws have an american bulldog that has had extremely bad mange - close to being put down.......I have sent you an email with a website..... Hope this helps.....
  7. We have a whippet who has vomitted uncontrollably (8 times in 15 minutes to the vets on a nasty winding road and another 8 times on the way home). She went on a trip about 4 hours away in a crate with 2 other dogs in the back of the ute with only a little drooling and no vomits. Put her in the back of the 4WD with all windows open and sunroof opened as well to try and create the 'ute openair feeling' when she came home and has been far better with only drooling slightly....and much more relaxed. Tried Rescue Remedy and Ginger Calm and nothing worked before..... Apparently they are better off in a crate in the back of the car where they are more likely to curl up and sleep rather than looking out the windows..... Good luck!
  8. My inlaws american bulldog had generalised demodectic mange this time last year and a reoccurence 6 mths later - very bad and was close to being put down because of it - as it was breaking out it looked like whiteheads - her underside was totally white and the whiteheads covered the whole of her underside. STILL can't work out how to post pics on here so can email pics of them to you if you want......
  9. Hi I posted a topic in general 2day about a site I came across on the net - Think I called it Cheap vet in Vic or something similar - a few people have commented on this today so check it out. This is the site I stumbled across - I'm in SA but thought someone in Melbourne may be helped out with it - very reasonable prices. http://www.bhtafe.edu.au/Services/PetsOnElgar.htm Good luck!
  10. What area of Adelaide has parvo been found???
  11. Maybe to take the stress away for you as an owner I would suggest purchasing a soft muzzle. They are made of really soft nylon and inhibit biting, barking and chewing but the dog can still drink..... We have just taken on a rescue greyhound and with 4 cats running around I had to be sure I could trust 'Ice' with fluffy ragdolls... If you tried this with your cute little dog it would take the worry away for everyone just in case he snapped to start with. At least at 4 mths you've got an easier job than with an older dog - especially a greyhound who'se life has been one of encouragment in chasing fluffy things.... Hope this is of some help to you and your dog especially such a gorgeous small dog and quite irresistable to children I'm sure.....
