Me thinks.......old dogs syndrome as hit........happened to our boxer at 14 years......relentless barking at night times....we put up with it for about 2 years until he sadly had seizures and had the be put down around Christmas time.........aweful to say but I'm much more relaxed since he passed away - I didn't realise how stressed I was looking after him..........We use to crate him with the light on and it helped on some nights - we live on a property (150 acres) so it didn't bother anyone else - I use to say all the time how lucky we didn't live in suburbia!!!!!!

Yes she breeds - iggys n staffordshires.........but the iggys only recently as her friend who use to breed the iggys has cancer so she's taken over - both the mummys were 2.5 years old - the first litter mummy just totally gave up and wouldn't eat or drink after the 1st 2 days - it was like a severe post natal depression - vet checked her out on Saturday and said she was physically okay and gave them liquid supplements to tube into her but nothing worked......soooo sad.....my friend was terrified the 2nd mum was going to do the same thing but she's a total different temperament and just loves the whole birthing thing and looks like she's smiling all the time and loving her extra poopies - and gutsing the food plus all the supplements from the 1st mum.........I think they'd be a fair bit more sensitive than whippys!!!!!!!

Kirislin are these 2 whippys or iggys.......a friend of mine close by had 6 iggy pups last Thursday - sadly the mummy died on Sunday along with 2 of the weaker babies - both blue - the others are fawns and sables and look like baby mice.......I arrived at bottle time yesterday and helped feed.......her 2nd iggy bitch had her litter of 3 early Monday morning and she's adoring the xtra adoption additions to her litter - an absolutely fantastic mummy!!!!!..........eeeeerm NO I forgot my camera......... :thumbsup:

Aubrey........I did an advanced camera course at Photographic Wholesalers in Hutt St Monday night. No....I'm not advanced but there beginner one wasn't till March so I took the plunge and understood most of it.....hmmmmm..histograms I STILL don't understand - course was great anyhow - I booked it through the Diamonds site here in SA....... Anyhow there was a gentleman who had put his Sigma 70-200 2.8 on consignment in there.....u may want to check out their 2nd hand lenses!!!!! StaffordLove I'm not sure all lenses autofocus with the D40 (I have the D80) - can't remember why but I guess the camerashop people will help you out!!!! Your staffy pic is good considering the light wasn't really good - a 2.8 lense would still be good in overcast or late noon/early evening pics - but are xpensive - don't rule out eBay for lenses as well 2nd hand!!!!!

Hi......hubby was in Malaysia last week with a Nikon D3 owner/buyer (Malaysian) and he took him around to shops supposedly well priced........He bought back lense prices for me that were no different than online shop prices here.......don't think Hong Kong would be any different..........He did get me a monfrotto tripod and head about $100 cheaper all up though..........glad he didn't bother with buying lenses - I thought for sure they'd be cheaper......but no!!!!

Friends freezer died one weekend with a freezer full of chicken necks n mince - they ended up getting in a bulldozer to dig a hole and buried the entire freezer with the meat..........lucky they're on 5 acres hey!!!!!!! Um I probably wouldn't give it to the dogs.......but in saying that my hubby fed similar tainted meat as you are talking about to our dogs while I was away and doggies all fine - no runny poos or anything .........they are grose creatures that bury their food and bones and then eat it weeks later (maggots and all) /eat cat and horse pooh......their intestines obviously cope with yucky stuff..........If you can freeze your meat and give a small amount with fresh meat mixed together it may not be as bad........I wouldn't feed it to total indoor dogs though - think of the stinky gas that would drive you outside.......... We have a friend who is a vet and his wife gave green mince to their dogs and no problems either........we were at their home the next day and our vet friend just laughed and said 'most' dogs have a cast iron gut!!!!!

That's so cool......very impressive........how olds your Pepi? We have 2 staffy/whippet 18mth olds here who would love that!!!!!

My OHs picking up my Nikon 1.8 on Monday. Bought it from Diamonds in Rundle St, SA .......very xciting - what sort of filter is best to get with it?? Poor whittle Ringo......even jack russels get tired sometimes Tokkie!!!!!

disorder......our family is moving upto Beaudesert QLD before winter hits next year. Snot is one of the first dogs I MUST meet - he is one hell of a funny character!!!!! So what camera n lense do you have??

I'm just pricing the 1:8 right now......I'm in SA so got to do the ring around thing through the yellow pages I guess Hardly Normans the place to start hey!.......hubby was going to get me a 1:4 in Singapore but prices were dearer than on ebay.......cranky, cranky I was.......... I would never have known about this lens if not for DOL........I always check the photography section first on DOL and then all the other posts after........I'm loving it!!!!!!!

We've got our old boxer boy on 5 1000mg fish oil capsules after he had 4 grand mal seizures in 10 days - really aweful........fish oil was suggested and so far so good.........obviously don't know if he would have been seizure free anyhow but vet didn't want to give him any meds in a hurry due to his age..... Hope things improve for your boy........

So whats the next step..........You must be beside yourselves!!!!! Did you get to see him in the flesh???

rubiton......if you're around what lenses do you use for eventing and racing please.......your cameras a roooooooly good one as well isn't it........have seen some of your pics and they're awesome.........can see why you're a pro!!!!!!

Melbomb and tosca I use to go to Daws Road High School opposite the Repat Hospital on Daws Road.........it's a small world hey!!!!! My Mum still lives at Clapham just up the hill from their so I'm often in the area.......I luuuuuvs boxers -My Koby is 13 and still hanging in there just.....and tosca we had 2 jack russells who disappeared from our property - long story - but we never ever found them - still check every jr I see anywhere!!!!!!

tlc my camera came with a uv filter and a polariser so don't have to worry about that.......Reckon the internet could be way cheaper for your 1.8 tlc.......

So if mizzpiggys 'staffy' was microchipped as a staffordshire bull terrier would she be having these problems??? You would hope they'd scan him first surely!!!!!!! Gorgeous dog.........

Sooooo.....what filter exactly would you want on the 50mm 1.4 if you were hoping your hubby in HK was pricing for you....Singapores not much better in price at all!!!!!
