  1. Hi Guys, Yesterday I found a small lump on my 12 week old puppy's belly near one of her nipples. My first reaction was to take her to the vet ASAP, but she is due back to the vets in 2 weeks for her KC vaccination and my mum suggested keeping an eye on it and wait till her vaccination. It's not bothering her at all and she's not been acting strange at all. We also have puppy classes tomorrow (Tuesday) night and I don't want to take her if she's not well. What you you guys do - Take her to the vets ASAP or keep an eye on for now till she goes for her vaccination? Thanks guys Stacey
  2. The trauma of whatever happened to her before was obviously just too much for her and she didn't know how to hadle her new life. When push comes to shove you did the very best you could, you rescued her from a place that was obvioulsy very bad for her and although it wasn't a long time she found a place where she was loved and respected enough for someone to make the hard descision to do what was best for her! You have nothing to feel guilty about, but the fact that you do shows how much you cared for her in such a short period of time. Dolce was lucky to have found you.
  3. We had week 2 of Puppy classes last night and Gypsy was much better - Played for about 45 mins and then was pooped by the end of the night! There were a few times when she was getting a bit over-whelmed, I just gave her a cuddle and a bit of re-assurance and put her back down and she was fine again. There was a new puppy there last night too - if he wasn't a few weeks older than her I would swear they could be from the same litter! Except that he was a boy and a little bigger they were identical!! Same cross breed, same colour, same white toes and they even had the same rough patch on their tails!!
  4. Do you need to cook the pet mince you get or just leave it raw? My parent always fed our dogs raw mince, but other people have said it's best to cook it. I would think leave it raw, but you guys know more about this topic than I do....
  5. I was absolutley shocked at Gypsy's reaction to the others puppies. At home she is confident and friendly and plays (very rough) all the time, but last night she just sat under my chair or behind the trainer for most of the night and would shy away if any of the other puppies came near her. It took her a good 45 mins to start interacting with the other dogs and only if they came to her. Oh, there was only one other puppy there bigger than her so i don't think it was a size thing. She has been around a few older dogs and was OK with them. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting her to interact with the other puppies a little better next week? Thanks Stacey

    Bones

We give our 10 week old puppy bones, The vet said it's ok as long as it's a propper marrow bone. She loves it and it's a great distraction when we go to work - plus is blunts those nasty little puppy teeth!!
  7. I just got this for my pup last night, she was the first 10 week old puppy my vet has vaccinated with this vaccine. She needs to go back in 4 weeks to get the last KC vaccine but then not until she is 15 months for the next one and then 3 years after that.
