Durnstein I know they are on the back of the entry forms, and if I had an official entry form I would have looked there first rather than ask on DOL. But I haven't hand written an entry in years all mine are printed out on the computer.

and you have accommodation Okay I might be brave and go up and say hello to people I wish there was a DOL badge or something so we could all recognise each other AWWW how suckful! I would have loved to of met you all! My entries were too late and not accepted

Thanks Megz, was talking to a friend last night and we have both shown for years but got a bit rusty on what ages a couple of the classes start at. Trying to figure out how to keep my babies seperated in classes.

I could check, but I seem to recall that that is not allowed. Using whitening shampoos is joy dying or altering the fogs coat colour and is perfectly within the rules. On my basenji's I use Equinade showsilk Glo White shampoo. It brings them up looking lovely, I have even had people ask me if I have chalked them because they are so white. I will use potato flour on day 2 of a show if they have gotten dirty, if they have stayed clean then I don't see the point.

Can some one please tell me what the ages are for minor, puppy, junior, intermeditae and Aust class's are please? TIA

( KTLA) -- Police in Bellflower are looking for a stolen van that had some precious cargo inside -- four international show dogs worth more than a half a million dollars. Kristina Rickhard says someone stole a white Chevy cargo van from the parking lot at a Motel 6 in the 17200 block of Downey Ave. The theft was reported around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Rickhard says four show dogs were in crates inside the vehicle -- a male Akita worth $250,000, another Akita worth $100,000 and two Corgis worth $100,000 each. Rickard says the dogs were left in the van because it was cooler outside and more comfortable for them. Three other dogs that prefer warmer temperatures were brought inside, she told KTLA. The most expensive dog, Trace, is the world's #2 Akita, Rickhard added. Rickhard says she and her family were staying at the hotel for an upcoming dog show in Long Beach. Since the animals are show dogs, she says they wouldn't last long in the wild. "They would not be able to make it out on their own if they were let loose," she said. I actually prefer the earlyish morning shows. 9am is a good time! 8am start the morning after a night show is pushing the friendship though!

ok 2 things from this weekends show. When you have a baby puppy that is brainless and you are waiting for baby in group just get said brainless baby puppy settled so he MIGHT actually walk in the ring and people standing there yappy with there dogs on long leads taking no bloody notice that there dog is jumping all over your dog, and when you say something to them they say no she's alright she just wants to play. And one thing that REALLY pisses me off is when the dachie people take there trolleys ringside while I am in with my basenji's. Not only do the dachies yap constantly, and all there trolleys are crowding the ring entrance, but while putting my dog away and getting my bitch out I had a dachie exhibitor have a go at my because me getting my dogs in and out of the trolley was stirring her dogs up! Basenji's were on and there were still Beagles and Borzoi's before Dachies were even thought about.

Thats the general cost of most of the country and Aggie shows in QLD. and yes I still do think its expensive, I have never paid that much for a powered site.

Yep the 4th starting at 4pm. Its the last all breeds show in QLD for this year.

2 things really cheese me off! Light hearted is the 2 million Dachies that seem to be entered at every show, they take FOREVER! ok so numbers might be a slight exageration ;) but they do seem to take forever. but what really cheeses me off is when it seems that people from a certain breed (wont say what breed) and they set 4 or 5 gazebos up side by side covering the entire front of the ring front, the assembly area isnt very big and you have people trying to get past the ring. If you put you trolley in front of there gazebo (still leaving them plenty of room to get in and out they and there dogs go berserk, and they demand you move. because your stirring there dogs up! I was one of many on the weekend that had a run in with these people about this.

Ok so gonna have a whinge here, its futile and I fully expect to get flamed but: I am entering a show interstate next month that is a new show, first year its run. Usually I go to a different show thats about 45 mins closer than the new one and a week earlier. But I figured I would support the new show instead. Both shows are interstate and the new show is about 6hrs 15 mins but I wanted to support it. I am taking 4 dogs possibly 6 (2 of my own and the rest are friends dog I am taking). What is annoying me is that camping for 2 adults and 3 children is $24 per night. So to stay for 3 nights for a 3 day shows it will cost $72, thats for unpowered. Kids are the same price as adults. Does that seem a bit excessive to anyone else?

Am kinda hoping for something a bit cheaper, too if possible as the incorrect set cost me $79.95. SP the Oztrail site is being a PIA and the stockist page is not loading. I'm on it now and it only has the new style in the accessory section at $34.95 per wall that's a fair bit of money to pay when I would need 4 of them grr. I can get single walls for a compact for $30.

Wow is there THAT many sweepie entries?? Hmmm I cant even remember if I entered sweepies :D On the Saturday we have close to 100 sweepies, across the 4 different sweepstakes, with the most in Baby Puppy! I think each judge has pretty close to 50 each actually (2 sweepies a piece) so I would envisage that we won't be starting breeds for around an hour...we are thrilled with the response to the sweepies, and as it is Cash and Sash, there will be some very happy exhibitors with their winnings.
