Isd this where they have there nostrils enlarged. My bulldog pup has to have this done .I rang around today for prices and alot of vets said this is only done by a specialtist and cost is $1000 up. I am in newcastle area and think this is a bit pricy. Is there any other treatments to help them breathe better?

My friend has a pug pup and she is in her first show this weekend. She is wanting to know if there is anything she can put on these pimples to get rid of them or if she can cover them with something. any help will be appreciated

Hi Is anyone willing to conduct regular show training lessons in the late afternoons for myself and my friend. We live in kurri and abermain. We will pay.She has 2 pugs and I have 1 bulldog.All pups. I did bid on the jacket,so if i dont get it I might wait until it does get hotter and she would be a bit bigger

thanks emilee i have just bought the jacket.all those things will be done when it realy starts to heat up.right now this is a start.if she doesnt seem to handle the heat well in summer the plan is she is locked inside with the air con. while we are at work.

I am going to get a life jacket for my puppy so she can swim with us in summer.They are on ebay for quite cheap.As she is a bulldog she will sink and I wanted to know if the realy do work. if anyone could let me know that would be good

Hi she has never been out in the sun before so i think she might of paniced.She had plenty of water and it had been over 1hr after going to the water.She will obviuosly be a bit more sensitive while she is young. Cinda! did you buy exactly this jacket or another brand. I think i am going to just buy one then i have it.I dont have time to make one.If anyone else wants to make me one let me know and I will pay.

wE WERE ACTUALLY AT WISEMANS FERRY AT A FAMILY REUNION SITTING ON THE GROUND NEAR SOME TREES.WE WALKED ON THE BEACH.SHE SLEPT.nOTHING TO ADVENTUROUS.bUT i WAS TOLD BY THE LADY WHO REARED THE PUPS THAT SHE IS A WINTER BABY AND MIGHT FEEL THE HEAT ALOT MORE UNTIL SHE GETS USED TO IT ABIT.i WILL BE AT WORK FOR 8 HRS AND WANTED SOMETHING TO KEEP HER COOL UNTIL THE KIDS GET HOME FROM SCHOOL AND CAN THE COOL HER MORE IF NEEDED.iT CAN GET OVER 45 DEGREES IN SUMMER OUTSIDE AND ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING TO HELP COOL.WE DO HAVE SOME SHADE BUT i WANT HER TO STAY INSIDE IF I CAN.THAT MEANS THE ROTTWEILER IS OUTSIDE AND THE BULLDOG AND THE COCKERSPANIEL IS INSIDE/OUTSIDE[DOG FLAP]

I am looking to buy all 3 of my dogs a cooling jacket and wanted to know if anyone had bought one of these before.I cant afford $80-$100 each jacket. Has anyone any thoughts?

Hi doggie lover.I am new to this forum too.But I think what the others were getting at was from the vets point of view that her diagnosise doesnt add up.I dont think they were having a personal attack or anything.I think anyway. I do agree some times on the forum that the writing looks bad but if they "asked"you these questions in person they would sound completely different. Whats people's opinions on these.we have a british bulldog and she is realy hot already and its not even summer.We are showing her soon and wanted to keep her cool there aswell and wanted to know if they realy do work.i have seen the jacket on ebay[good price i though]and wanted to know are cooling jackets and pads safe for them in the case they cheqw them up and how would you get a pup/dog to keep them on all day? thanks

I rang barbara at Hillsborough and she said that the pup had to be 16 weeks before I could take her to the classes and then it is $25 upfront and $3 every time we come.Then they have a school holiday course and that is $100.I was wanting to know from other DOL people about this tuesday night one for $2 and what age did they start at.I want to start training straight away and if I wait until 16 weeks old that will be 2 months away.I still would like someone who does showing who lives in my area to give us some pointers.We could drive to there house in the afternoon after school if they are local. Thanks again

Hi I am trying to get on the website but when it opens it only gives options of ebay and other shops.Am I missing something?

My dogs suffer from fleas and so does the cat. I think it sounds great.we get our new pup next week and I wanted to start her on this.My plan is to spread the cost by buying 1 packet[of 3 month] every 2 week and spreading it out. I only just done the dogs with another flea thing so I still have 1 month up my sleeve i can spread it out on

I went to the vet yesterday to get my monthly flea satchet and they told me about a product that does fleas,worms and heartworms in one bottle per month. Has anyone used this and does it work OK.

Hi Evereyone My bulldog will be an inside dog and I already have a cocker spaniel inside dog.Sometime of a day i will be at work and there will be no-one home.I was going to put the air con. on so i new the dog was ok.Theye have the run of the whole house so if it gets to cold they can go upto the front of the house where it doesnt get cold.I sometimes have trouble breathing in summer so expect the bulldog to realy suffer.we have a big backyard but nothing in it.The rottweiler already gets under the back verandah and as the bulldog is not a common breed and we might not be home.I dont feel comfortable letting her into the backyard when no one is home.And as we had a huge brown snake here last year in the yard,only new because it was the weekend and we were in the yard that we killled it,she might get bitten.i am looking at buying a cooling mat and a jacket for all of them.Not cheap i know but hopefully they will work Thanks again

I have purchased a bulldog pup and reading all the books it says to keep them cool in summer.So I was going to keep her inside of a day[while at work]and have the air conditioner.My question is.Do i realy need and air conditioner to keep her cool.I noticed some breeders have there bulldogs in large yard with a kennel each.How do the dogs handle being in the sun all day. will I be over reacting if I do keep her inside all day with the air con. on?

thanks Yancelby Unfortunately we have a large back verandah and then 6 steps so the dog will still get outside.We have a dog door already on the back screen door so our cocker spaniel can go in and out.But when we get our new bulldog she will need alot of cooling in summer and I did want to shut the door to keep the cool in of a day and sometimes we might not be home to closely watch her.Unfortunately the more expensive the dog and an uncommon breed around here,there are idiots who might hurt my other dogs to get to the bulldog,which I dont want any of my babies hurt. Anyway I am going to have a look at the petshop for the doggy toilet that"zoo" mentioned. Thanks again
