  1. my girl, since a pup, has been sent to bed at 9.30pm. we always told her to "go to bed" as a pup and she would walk up the hall way and go to bed. Now she is 2 , we still send her to bed with the kids at 9.30pm, and now, even if we have a house full of people, if we want her to go to bed at anytime, we just say" go to bed" and she does she is so obedient
  2. motto farm has a good one his name is Martin Strong he was recommended to me from other breeders cant complain abit about service
  3. thanks going to the vet tomorrow have put curash on the areas and they are itchy, I didnt realise she was scratching them, but now I have watched her more she is scratching them. they are on the surface and they are just areas. like a kid if they grazed their knee. behind the ear is not much at all now, seems to be going away. husband is mowing the lawn again so I will see if this makes a difference also.
  4. can anyone tell me about heat spots? as she now has some under her front arms and back legs,2 small patches behind her ears and one on her chest I am thinking they are heat spots. as I am not aware of what heat sports are I will do a googtle search just thought someone could tell me abit about them on here.
  5. they are red, smalla amount of blood, and dont appear to be swollen. no new worming or fleaing, her diet was cganged to include chicken mince. could this be a cause? I will buy curash cream this arvo
  6. this is a behind the ears shot chest one same ear just different angle you know I just watched her playing with the cocker spaniel and they were rolling around on the cement driveway. I wonder if these are soem sort of rub mark from sliding on the driveway? also husband mows once a week not sure if cut grass can cause these marks either. They are just small bloody[mainly red] small areas. they arent bothering her but she is a little placid compared to her wild usual self. any suggestions are welcome thanks all
  7. HI Stormie No she is not generally itchy. I am currently uploading pics now Its not really swollen, just small bloody spots. Just got me stumped as she hasnt really come inot contact with anything
  8. Unfortunately I couldnt get into the vet so she will have to wait until monday. I have given her another malaseb wash, done another walk of the yard and there is no wondering dew. I will go and buy some curash and give it a go. I am currently charging the baTTERY on my camera and will put some pics up for you too see.
  9. Hi I am just after some advise and I didnt know how to word it. she has these large spots where the skin is going back to red, however she isnt bitting or scratching them so I dont know how they are scabbing up. They are swollen just red with sores on them. she has a patch on her chest, patch under her front armpit, small patch behind her ear,and smaller again piece on her leg. she is a very active dog and this has not held her back at all however looks painful. i have been putting Malaseb wash on them every 2 days, but these ones look alot worse and I didnt know if the wash was making it worse on her. i will be taking her to the vets tomorrow but I thought someone might be aware of what this is. It could also be an alergic reaction. but I took out the wondering dew a few weeks back so not sure if she is alergic to something else aswell.
  10. I have the same issue with my bulldog. Not sure what she is alergic too but I have had many people recommend melasab[think thats how you spell it] havent used it yet as I only bought it 20 minutes ago. I picked it up from pet barn.
  11. thanks everyone for those reasons thats why i havent pushed the food thing. i was starting to panic that she is underweight but i think she looks great I suppose I can be the perason in the ring that helps others get their points easier LOL. One way to get my experience up in the ring to. thanks again
  12. Thanks everyone Brandy is a british bulldog and you definately cannot see her bones or ribs. To me she looks very well fitted out. She looks healthy and happy.I worm her every month as she is 5 months and the vet said that is fine. But....When we register her in a show and she comes up against the other bulldogs, she is no where near as fat as them.We dont even get a look in as she looks like I starve her compared to the others. I think she is well within her standards weight, the vet thinks she is a bit overweight as it is. I am confused and thought that the best way to have a chance of winning was to fatten her up. We already give her hamburger mince with soaked optimum dry food so i will just change this to be her morning feed and see how she goes for a while. As she has a squashed in mouth and chokes alot I worry about giving her bones as the breeder suggested no bones . She does scoff her food so bones are very limited and only under supervision. I love this pup to bits and all i want is for her to be seen as a healthy CORRECT size bulldog in the ring! thanks again
  13. I have a bulldog pup and was wanting people to PM or post what they feed there pup as she isnt putting on much weight.she gets scrambled eggs with chesse for breakfast,Optimum for lunch and soaked optimum with beef minced[raw] for tea. Any suggestions would be appreciated
