  1. Thanks pixie meg I will check them out
  2. I need to change my lab from raw to kibble. I haven't really researched kibble before, but I've heard good things about Royal Canin and I figure it's a good one to start with. Does anyone purchase it online, and if so, where from? Thanks
  3. I just found a video about the Champion Canine seat belt
  4. I don't know anything about these. Would anyone who has one like to post more info and a review?
  5. and for Bull Terriers, i am lucky if he just gets the cardboard... shit head will try to eat the whole roll of toilet paper if he gets a chance! He can get it off the hanger now!! I reckon those toilet paper adds teach them how to do that.
  6. Glad it's not just my dog then!!! She's been a little thieving brat puppy lately, and has also taken a liking to my shoes
  7. It is recommended for large/giant females to be allowed to have one season before spaying, for their growth Ah, that makes sense. Thank you
  8. You know the ones that paper towels come on. My lab just ate the whole cardboard roll. I assume it's nothing to worry about (she's eaten toilet paper rolls before!) but this is a lot bigger so I just wanted to ask if anyone's dog's done the same and what the outcome was. Looks like she had a lot of fun eating it too.... tiny bits of it everywhere...
  9. Sorry, a bit OT, but I'm curious. Can I ask why she isn't desexed yet? Are you waiting until she gets to a certain age or something? (I know nothing about Newfoundlands.)
  10. I really recommend K9 Pro www.k9pro.com.au if you decide to look for a behaviourist.
  11. Here's the thread http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/188699-please-buckle-up-your-best-friend/page__p__4313221__hl__%22your+best+friend__fromsearch__1#entry4313221 A Roadie Elite might be a good option for you, although it doesn't have padding. The Roadie Basic has plastic buckles.
  12. I don't see how the dog can work as an assistance dog without a collar and tag. Great news that the dog was found
  13. I think that was the dog, (the name is right) though it was reported as an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the news item. I don't know if this article might give you more info, if you think it's the same dog. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/188558-assistance-dogs-news-articles/page__view__findpost__p__4309954
  14. Was it a diabetic alert dog? I've heard of one named Mika. I didn't think it was a Staffy though.
  15. Thanks PF... yes that could be it.. It's SO very out of character.
  16. Does anyone have any experience with food aggression suddenly starting in a 2 - 3 year old dog? I know how to stop it - make it impossible for them to go near each other when one of them is eating. But I'm more interested in the underlying cause and what could be going on for a dog to suddenly become food aggressive with another dog they've been living with and eating near for over a year with no issues with food before.
  17. K9 Closet and Happy Tail Collars Lupine collars are also very good :D This picture is of K9 Closet collars.
  18. I believe there are some insurance companies that will consider lifting an exclusion after a year of two of starting the policy, depending on the issue.
