Dogs don't sweat through their coats. What are you feeding him? I'd highly recommend the zoom groom for getting hair out of a fine coat - gets more than a curry comb. I love the Groomer Evening Primrose Oil shampoo for my Whippet - leaves him lovely and shiney with a pleasant but not floral smell.

Here We Go Mandatory Desexing For All Pet Puppies.

One excellent provision of the bill is to ban the sale of mammals at markets. That will shut a local NSW puppy farmer out of selling pups at Hall Markets. -

It's Dogs ACT and I'm checking. I'm looking at the exposure draft now. It has some great and some not so great contents. Point of sale desexing is NOT mandatory. Link to exposure draft for those interested. -

Abed: If owners of 'working breeds' think that their dogs will be any match for a fit, aroused dog of fighting ancestry then they are clearly deluded. "Smaller" dogs have lower centres of gravity and better proximity to the areas that disable a dog - namely the legs. Clearly some 'working dog' owners need to pull their heads out of the sand and realise that their dogs aren't designed for fighting other dogs.

Yikes! That's double what you'd pay for a Whippet!

Kanga is lower in fat than most meats. My dogs don't like it much.

Kings Highway and Majura Road are also cut - this is far worse than the last lot.

Just checked ABC Riverina & Hume's to close at 11am from Yass to Albury Yep, north of Tarcutta.

The NSW RTA website is shit - currently gives me a map of NZ. ABC news website is better for local areas. Linky to news article here.

And meanwhile another whole flood peak is heading down the Murrumbidgee towards Gundagai and Wagga. They're evacuating parts of Queanbeyan.. on a river that will feed into the Murrumbidgee. Its still raining here and we had an absolute deluge last night. Lots of local roads flooded and all flood waters will end up in the Murrumbidee. They've got Captains Flat below the dam on alert - the dam will be opened to prevent it being destroyed and that water will feed into the Murrumbidgee. There are two major dams that will provide more inflow into the Murrumbidgee You aint' out of the woods yet. From the BOM website:

May I suggest he has NOT purchased a pup suitable for his (lack of) knowledge/ability. I fear this will end in tears . poor little pup. Silly, impulsive man. Well he can either start learning and start doing right by the dog or become one of the kind of owners that saw APBTs banned in the first place. His choice.

I like them too Aloysha. Rock solid dogs with kids if they've been raised right. Is there a breed ID called "unknown"?
-
Perhaps pick her up somewhere on the Hume on Sunday - it should be open again by then.

Hume Highway is closing north of Tarcutta. I have to say this is looking less and less like a smart move. [heads off to confer with show buddies]

I'd be exploring all non-surgical options first. If they haven't been infected/impacted, I'd be looking at management not surgery. It's not a minor operation and it does have a potential risk of fecal incontinence. Have you tried adding psyllium husk to her diet?

Ask for an extension to contest the order or appeal the declaration. Ask for evidence of the pug's injuries.

There is EVERY reason the dog will grow up to be more dog aggressive than if it was another breed equally well raised. To deny that is to deny generations of selecting for precisely that trait. The up side it it should be far less people aggressive than many other breeds have the potential to be. However, if heavily socialised, extensively trained and managed to prevent dog aggression this pup could make a great family pet. However to expect it to be the social butterfly of the dog park is to court disappointment. The pup may not grow up to have a dog aggressive bone in its body. However the odds are against that.

Which Is The Best Long Line Training Lead?
poodlefan replied to Stitch's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
What do you want it for? Nylon burns skin if pulled quickly. -
Ah yes a Moddle. From the same people that brought you: King Charles Cavalier Spaniels Shit Zu's Brittany Spaniels and Maltese Terriers
-
Is that common?

My guess is "moodle" - maltese cross poodle. Allegedly.

Still no significant falls in the region yet but the radar is starting to look ominous. The BOM website has this:

In the snapping spinning melee that is a dog fight, how this is to be accomplished defeats me.

I'm interested in this one Steve.
