  1. Nice shot everyone.. If I wasn't so sick, I would have ventured out myself tonight as i saw some great shots earlier on Facebook...
  2. Another vote for Ruthless... I ordered a lone ranger for Ziggy bug and can't wait to get it. Ruth was so helpful with getting the right collar...
  3. Phoebe is definitely one of those cute puppies... I have seen a lot of these around lately... edited to make sense as my typing on the iPad is hopeless
  4. Itis not for me, they were advertised on a Facebook page... As registered and pedigree dogs. I wasn't sure that the ergo was ANKC or not... I was just curious. Sadly it is all the usual tough guy types responding to the ad so far.. They are very cute babies but I am a Stanford convert through and through... :)
  5. For me it would depend on what I was intent on shooting... Of it was just the family I would take the 50mm If I wanted to shoot scenery I would the bigger zoom lens. Hopefully one of the photographers will come in and tell you because I am off on Thursday and really only want to take 1 lens but dare say I will end up taking 2
  6. These babies are being sold with 'pedigree papers'.. They are vaccinated and health checked... The owners at nothing about microchip ping but I think that, is mandatory in NSW anyway...
  7. They are totally gorgeous... The puppies are so very cute... I have googled them as well and found heaps of pics...
  8. I just asked and this is exactly what it is... The pups are so cute... But don't even have their little eyes open yet. She did say if someone ws not ready for this litter she will breed them again next time... I can a only assume that means next season but I hope not...
  9. Thanks Mim, just some moron on Facebook selling them for $1000 and telling people they come with 'papers'
  10. Just a quick question... Are they recognized by ANKC? TIA
  11. Wow, that is awesome pers... Thanks for sharing... Animals make the best subjects don't they.
  12. I don't think anyone really wants to hear that a photo they have taken and shared it crap... But constructive input is really good.. I guess something like the suggestions Tess made in the zoo animals thread on my stuff. I really appreciated the input and went and got Lightroom so I can learn how to use it to improve my images. I also appreciate input on how to do things, like changing the angle a picture is taken or lens advice.. There is so much information that is shared by those that do know what they are doing and I for one just can't get enough of it. I know I will probably never be good enough to sell my images or charge a fee for taking pictures but that is not why I do it. But I also do want to be good at it... I really enjoy seeing all pictures from the lovely ones that the professionals share with us to the ones that are taken in backyards with the family point and shoot cameras... It has been a long time since I hung out in the photo section as life and stuff just got in the way of my camera time. Since Dan and Ollie died last year, I have realises that life is just way to short and we really need to take time out to do things that we love. Rescuing dogs has also given me a reason to pull the camera out and use it more.. You can never have to many great photos of your rescue dogs so they get seen everywhere, then rehomed and you can save another...
  13. Same in this house-they go in the freezer on shopping day and get fed to the dogs straight from the freezer.. I will even give them their dinner frozen in summer time when it is hot weather..
  14. Hehe, he is only sleeping with his head in it so he will know when Pippa comes to get it.. He does this with lots of toys... I was considering Pippa as a foster failure but just got a call from the family she met last week and they want to meet her again with their dog to see how they go together... This one is going to make me cry if and when she leaves us...
  15. Ditto for my stuff... How do we learn if not for constructive criticism...
  16. They all look so happy.. It is so great seeing dogs be dogs...
  17. I have no experience in this but I always thought a protection dog was for protection.. If required/needed it could hold off an attacker that was attacking you... I would assume this would be more along the lines of detaining/holding the person doing the attacking.. I am thinking the average 'bad' person would probably run at the thought/sight of a protection dog... Hence the word they are to protect, not attack...
  18. I comment if I like the photo, subject etc But don't comment often as I am very much a novice and don't really have anything constructive to add apart from the usual, cute or lovely... I am learning and wish I was more confident and able to offer more...I guess it just takes time...
  19. Thanks pampa, I just saw that Pampi was set free too, I am very sorry... The house was to empty and to sad.. I knew the only option for me was to rescue... We picked up our first rescue on 31st October, just 6 days after saying goodbye to Ollie dog. While we were collecting Gus, we met the most adorable 6 month old staffy cross, Ziggy, who is now the newest member of our family... He moved in with us in 1 November... Gus found a home and then we had the beautiful Coco, Staffordshire bull terrier, she was only here for 10 days. We were getting some work done and a friend of my late husband spotted her and fell in love. She has a great home and I get to see her heaps. We now have the very pretty Pippa pup, she is 6 months old and just the most adorable baby girl... I am sure Ollie is still here sometimes and Ziggy sits and stares at the cupboard where Ollie's ashes are kept sometimes... We are truly blessed to be able to share our home with so many wonderful dogs... Ollie will always have a very special place in my heart, he was my heart dog but Ziggy has shown me that there is plenty of room for more dogs and so many need it... Mantis, I saw you lost your beloved Kenny.. It helps to think that they are all having so much fun while waiting for us...
  20. Oh pampa, I have just seen this. I am so very sorry for your loss..
  21. Thanks guys.. They are pretty special, will I think so... The head in the ball, he is sound asleep... I took heaps of photos and he didn't wake up... Pippa is so precious, She could so easily be a foster failure... Mind you she is as destructive as Ziggy with toys.. Everything is chewed until it is gone...
  22. Here are some new pics of Ziggy and our foster baby Pippa. Pip is only 6 months old... And so cute.. 23. It has finally arrived - 2 weeks to the day that I ordered it... Isn't it beautiful Camera bag 2 by Jodie Moore Photos, on Flickr Camera bag 1 by Jodie Moore Photos, on Flickr Inside the new camera bag by Jodie Moore Photos, on Flickr
  24. I like that one to... I wonder, can you have to many camera bags? I like how she does the little video on each bag to show you how big they are and what they look like...
  25. I have a 6 month old and a 12 month old here and they get the hiccups nearly every morning when they first wake up and when we first go to bed of a night... No idea what causes it but it doesn't last long and they seem fine, so I don't worry about it.
