Hehe, love them all... Don't you just love the way dogs just live in the moment and enjoy it because they can...

I have had it for about a month now and I am totally impressed with what I can do with it...

Totally awesome shots of adorable dogs... Thanks for sharing. -
They sure put their paw prints all over our hearts don't they... 1 year already!

Zig barks like a loon and then walks backwards as people enter the house... Better than our old stafford, Ollie, just slept on the lounge and didn't even bother getting up most of the time...

Awe, glad the surgery went well.. What a lovely gesture to send you a photo..

What Silly Things Is Your Dog/dogs Scared Of?
Staffyluv replied to mantis's topic in General Dog Discussion
Ziggy is not afraid of storms or fireworks at all. In fact he has been known to sit out in the middle of a thunder storm... He is scared of some men, even more so if they have a hood, beanie or cap on. He is also scared of things he hasn't seen before.. This morning it was large white linen bags.. On our walk we passed a truck that delivers linen in big white bags.. He wouldn't walk past them and just dropped to the ground... He doesn't like swearing at all either.. He sneaks out of the room if all the lads are here and they start swearing at the football.. He is a pound rescue and when we first got him he was so scared that he wouldn't even come to us.. One can only wonder what the first 6 months of his life was like.. -
My old Stafford wouldn't go out in the rain. He would hold on for ages... He would go if I went with an umbrella that he could hide under to.. The new lad is happy to go out in the rain - about a month ago, it was horrible rain and freezing cold and I came home late in the afternoon to find the loon sitting in his clam shell that had filled up with the rain. If it is wet or mud, he is in the middle of it.. He has earned the nickname Mud Monster..

Oh dear poor pup, you must be so worried... I can't help with advice but wanted to wish you all the very best

Agree with Danios.. I bought one of those really absorbent towels from enjo (you can get cheaper ones) and we make a big game of drying him off when he runs back in... He thinks getting dried off and all roughed up, putting the towel over his head is heaps of fun, so this works for him. Your dog might prefer a ball to chase down the hall or treat like suggested above.

Smart girl, did it all at once. Kinda like those people that have triplets = instant family. I honestly couldn't imagine having twins, let alone even more multiples... I have 7 years between my 2 boys...

Thanks Allerzeit, I am on the iPad and links and stuff doesn't work.. McDowells post everywhere..

Sounds like you have it covered.. Robert McDowell is a holistic vet, look him up on google, send him what info you have and his team will work something out for your girl.. There are lots of people on DOL that use his services and highly recommend him.

Perhaps a better idea is to reevaluate what you are feeding her.. I had to change my old Staffords diet to stop it recurring.. The only we had a recurrence was when a neighbour felt sorry for him and gave him a rissole over the fence nod day when he was home alone.. Low fat diets are best... There is a lot of info on DOL and the Internet for pancreatic diets for dogs. I do believe that the slippery elm is stirred into the dogs food each time but I can't help with dosages etc. Good luck

If Ziggy is on his own (no foster dogs here), we leave the back door ajar and he has full run of the house. If there are fosters, they have access to the laundry but here will be warm crates in there for them..

Or fight to the death with no chance of separating two dogs with that much power. I sure wouldn't risk an entire male of either of those breeds with any other entire male. The risk is just too great if they have a disagreement. I would be very surprised at anyone that would sell you a second male. Totally agree with dancinbcs... So you purchased a Cav puppy in April and have added a Cane Corso puppy and now you want to get Boerboel pup... You are going to be so busy training and caring for so many pups.. Wasn't there another forum member not long ago with one of these large powerful breeds that also had a Labrador? There were issues and the big dog hurt the labrador. But they were best mates when one was a pup...

When To Stop That Second Feed?
Staffyluv replied to Riddick's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have always fed my animals twice a day... It is convenient for me to do so... -
When we were kids my aunt and uncle had a boxer that had 16 puppies.. All survived.. Their girl went back to her breeder for her to breed with her (part of the contract). She never had another litter that I know of...

Rest in peace Tara... I am so very sorry for your loss...

The only other coat colours that I can think of are liver and the black and tans are considered undesirable. To be honest, good breeding (temperament) and health would be my priorities over colour... I would never choose a dog on colour.. My sister has always had the darker brindle dogs until she rescued a beautiful red girl... After her old red girl passed away she went back to a breeder she used many years ago and this time around she ended up with a lovely little white guy with a tan patch over his eye... She wanted the darker pup but the breeder suggested that the little white guy was a better fit for her family... Choppa has been a perfect fit... I think it is wonderful that the breeder took a few meetings to get to know them, check out their yard and ask loads of questions about them, to work out which of her pups would fit in with them best...

To cute... I love how curious the big horses are...

I think most people would do the same.. I think it is in our nature (most dog lovers, I realise there would be those that wouldn't.). To protect those that need protecting.. Be it kid, adult or dog...
