The BITSA test came back and the only breed that can be indentified is Rotti I guess mum wasn't a pure breed, regardless we love her no matter what she is @ 6 months -

excuse me, what standards? BYB rotties (oh and by the way, I have one which I rescued) dont always look ala typical rottie but are still 'pure' for lack of a better phrase. I just asked a question if you actually knew what her breeding was or if she was a 'guess' as sometimes done. My apologies -

All the females in the litter had rottie colourings and the two males were fawn with black masks. The father was a rottie who I know, and I'm told the mother was a bull mastiff - whether purebred or not I'm not sure -

Zoe now at 5 months -
All I did with Zoe was place a cheap light weight lead on her that she proceeded to play and chew on - after a few days of this and enticing her with treats, she had no problem walking on a lead.

I'd say he's just being a boy.... I've had three male dogs in the past in the backyard at the same time, all desexed and all tryingto hump each other. Humping is also a sign of dominance I believe.

hehehe Sasha is a boy I know the name is usually used for girls. Having said that, he's so good and gentle with her you can say he has taken on that role -

Good to hear!! I've gone ahead and bought it.

Pet Stock are selling Buy one get one free 3kg bags of Omni Pro for $20. Just wondering if anyone has used it and what people's thoughts are? I was using Supercoat but the pups were pooing like no tommorow - I know there are alot of high end dry foods out there, but I'm looking for something in the middle range price bracket. http://www.omnipropet.net/canine_puppy.html

I buy them premade in frozen patties, i find them really convenient, i have a small dog so they last a while too. Where do you buy them from?
-
Both my pups are fed cooked mince with pasta and veggies - I alternate between chicken, beef and roo. A meaty bone each during the day. I also mix in some dry food in the mix too. Nice healthy pups with shiny coats - had this diet for my previous blue heeler and never had health problems. I tried the commercial canned food, but it gives them runny poos - with this diet nothing but firm stools. Doe people make their own BARF food, or do they buy it prepackaged?
-
If you have time and patience then I say go for it - our guys are 1 week apart and are the best of buds.
-
Funny you should mention this cause my Lab is going through this at the moment - but after awhile his hunger gets the better of him. I do find that he likes variety and gets bored with the same type of mince - I try and change his pet mince on a weekly basis. Also I find taking them for a walk before feeding time builds up an appetite.

I feed both my pup on cooked pet mince with rice, pasta and vegies - and my previous ACD - never had a problem ;) I also mix in some dry food aswell on occasion

I find that walking my pups before feeding helps build up their appetite and eliminates fussiness about food.
