Hi TLC, Pack is going okay just. The old one is off to the vet Friday, not sure what is going on, fingers crossed. I do have Friday off this week and will have time off from next Thur, not sure if I could make a walk but will see how I go. Let me know.

Cute puppies!! JJ I have heard the add for the 'Shop" saying that it is opening soon, but when is soon!! I keep sticky beaking when I walk past, want to go in!

In the 14yrs I have been going (on and off) to the blue hole, I have never seen the rangers there either. The only time they went there (out of hrs) was when I rang one (a friend) to come and get an elderly dog, as we couldnt get in touch with the owners.

Wasnt sure if other dogs were allowed. I know they would love it, would run amok. Toilet training.............now i may have to rethink. Nah if it was overnight it would be fine.

I know exactly where you are coming from. Old dog and lumps annoying them. My boy was 14yrs old when I had to have skin cancers removed earlier this year. I went through hell deciding what to do. The best suggestion I had from here was talk all your options over with your vet. If you decide to go ahead pre blood works are a must and fluids before help greatly. My guy came out of it fine, was home that night with many stitches and wanted to go for his regular walk. That being said, every dog is different. It comes down to the risk of surgery and the quality of life you want your boy to have. Good luck with your decision.

I am on dial up on home, doesnt really cause me a problem the computer is old so its slower because of that. I dont have any issue with download limits never have, mine is unlimited. I do everything on dial up including ebay. So hurry up with the pictures T&T!!!!

Thanks for the responses. Does sound like it was an ant but it may have been a wasp. Seeing the vet for the anual check up so will go over it with her and see what she thinks. Was in a panic and didnt think about cold water, though being on tank water, it wouldnt have been cold, but well worth remembering for future. I dont think I would have been able to get him to lick or drink anything as he couldnt open his mouth. He is all better now and cant get out of the dog yard into the paddock, I fix that one. Curious to find out other dogs reactions to bull ant bites (could have been a jump jack too, they are smaller with orange bity bits). Its just that I came home late from training last week and found him out of his yard (under the fence he did squeeze, 18kg of him) and his face looked strange. Closer look he looked more like a sharpei (sp?) type face, from a whippet type face. Obvious signs of swelling. A mad rush to the vets (20min away), worried that he would not be able to breathe for much longer get there and he has two injections, cortisone and antihistamine. The swelling, in front of both our eyes is still going, was now creeping down his head towards his neck, golf ball on one side of cheek. Vet had checked airways and they were not involved (thank ....!!), an intravenous injection of cortisone, stopped the swelling. 24hrs later he was back to normal, as though nothing had happened at all. But my question is, was it a bull ant/jumpjack bite , ( I have nests outside of yard, trying to destroy) or something else like wasp or spider. Would like to hear of others situations to try and work it out, though will probably never know for sure.

Sorry TLC but yes I work every Sunday 7-12ish. So for me to catch up either a Saturday or around 1 by the time i get from A'ford to Panmure (get kids) and back into W'bool. Unless you come the other way?? Ask T&T what the vet has told her Bruno needs to do (he he I laughed)
