  1. Persephone, i will wash his feet every night - cant i use soap? and dry them until i get the malesab. I probably dont dry his feet properly when I wash him me bad.
  2. Apparently he is a stinky Beagle too!!! Sorry, no ideas. If he'd been a fluffy I'd have suggested clipping out the underside of his feet. You could always not sniff them I suppose. ;) He is a bewdiful stinky beagle then ;) He sleeps in bed with us, so sometimes its kinda hard not to miss the wiff. Its funny, i swear my feet have smelt similar a few years back but I cant remember why. RE: Malaseb medicated shampoo.- my next plan of action! Cheers
  3. What breed/s is Charlie? He is a beautiful beagle
  4. Pretty self explanitory. Charlies paws stink, even after a bath (one a fortnightish, with aloveen) I have been scrubbing them with a nail brush. They dont look manky, they just smell. he gets a raw diet. Thanks, Jacqui
  5. Ohhh thank goodness re. UQ vet - they saved me when we thought Charlie had bloat at 3am one morning. Thank goodness they will be close by ( I live nearish to the area).
  6. I never thought I could love another living being as much as I love my pups. Its overwhelming. Regardless of where she has come from, we are so blessed. *is a little teary* We love them both so much. And her nature is just so fulfilling. She runs and play and cuddles and licks and *talks* and Charlie just loves her too.....cuddled up together on the snooza from day one :D
  7. Mias' mother (beagles) was one of the pregnant bitches seized at Wondai. Mia was born at the RSPCA then fostered out. There are a few beagle pups (about 5 months old) at Fairfield and Dakabin RSPCAs'. Mia has a beautiful nature. She resource guards food (only from other dogs) but that is her only behavioural issue, besides being a little insecure. We are watching that slowly dissapate as she realises that she is staying here, we are not letting her go.....She is desexed, by the RSPCA, and we are taking her to get her stiches out on Thursday. *we picked her up on Friday, she was desexed on the Tuesday prior*
  8. I need to help me with urine smell on the new couch Im hoping I can just spray it on to the couch, if i dilute it with water and put it in a spray bottle.......bicarb hasnt worked, and novac doesnt last that long
  9. Apparently this may be implemented in QLD when the Fairfield RSPCA gets relocated to Wacol, which is where a few of the prisons are located.
  10. I've emailed them an enquiry for postage
  11. Im stll getting more information....,but thanks Kelly Louise and ILK :-)
  12. No it wasnt a single accusation......Im getting in touch with my friend to get exact details.
  13. A few years ago my friends dog was declared dangerous by the BCC. It was a mistaken identity by a neighbour who was callous towards my friend, and she has been fighting it ever since. She has been working to overturn this for some time now, and is now in a position at the moment where she has engaged a solicitor and is trying to fight against this ruling. However, her living circumstances have changed recently and she has put the call out for some assistance for a temporary status. I am posting this with her knowledge. She has a facebook group regarding Fire, her beautiful husky called 'Dangerous Dogs' Rights. This is the link http://www.facebook.com/lasanth#!/grou...2409&ref=mf She has been told by the RSPCA that there is no temporary fostering available for Fire, and because of this *status* of dangerous, she is having alot of trouble getting in to a boarding kennel. I am looking for a person that has a secure yard with a fence that would suit the dangerous dog enclosure requirements. Temporarily adopt my dog while my solicitor tries to overturn the dangerous dog declaration. If you know anyone or are interested please reply to... this post and I will speak with you further. I would require weekly visits to my dog. Thanks! If anyone can help who lives in the Brisbane area, please PM or respond. Thank you, Jacqui
  14. Thats beautiful Jed, thanks for sharing, a little teary here
  15. fair call. my friends have been uprooted from their town and moved with a weeks notice. time between them getting here and me getting dogs = 1 day. circumstance. they are aware that if it doesnt work for us/charlie that they have to make other arrangements, and have a boarding kennel on standby. Normally I would agree, meet at dog park, play, walk etc.....its just one of those ideal situations.
  16. Clyde, thank you so much for your response. I appreciate it. I am concerned about going to work now though, and am trying to change times so they wont be home alone for long... I really am getting a little concerned about this......
  17. I get annoyed at the parents who dont watch their children and they constantly run after Charlie and cuddle him and stop him playing with the other dogs. I want Charlie to interact with the dogs and run and zoom, not play with other humans. Thats just me.
  18. No Charlie has never met the two bostons. I was hoping that because Megan and Moby are so *together* that they wont bother Charlie that much...... We were going to introduce down at the dog park. Have a meeting there, and then they just *come home* with us.....
  19. cheers thank you, was wondering if i was wasting my time - think I may be!!! ~ Jacqui
