What Meat To Feed With Vets All Natural?
SeeGee replied to all that glitters's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I do it with minced chicken frames, then feed a chicken wing or a few necks at the 2nd feed. I rotate those boney bits with others types of rmb through the week. -
Yea have actually just reviewed the rspca, the limit is not as generous as Medibank for Charlie.

He will keep guarding you all from the bridge xo xo xo

my 2 beagles hate water. Charlie will swim if he HAS to, Mia would rather die than swim. There are dog pools near us, Im thinking I may take them for a few session to see if they will get interested that way.

Charlie is with medibank, they pay out less than RSPCA (who mia is with), on the same comparitable level of cover. If I get another pup in the future, I think we may go with RSPCA. Medibank Pet Insurance (underwritten by the same company as RSPCA) gives me the run around every time. RSPCA is just such smooth sailing its amazing.

she got weed killer ;) We were very very lucky. It was actually (please dont hit me) R S P C A. Mia came with a policy when we got her, and it was easier to continue that policy than change. I just can't believe how fast it was.

Shes' more snappy, and gets quite tired, but other than that, she is back to normal. Bossing us all around. I kinda feels like she is saying to us - "ha ha mum, I laugh in the face of death!' She's fine. im still recovering ha ha.

love those beagles - had my fill - i want another one!!

Ok. Mias' first vet bill for the poison was $515.00. Posted (via snail mail) that claim on Tuesday afternoon. Refund of over $335.00 processed back into our account on Friday. WOW. I'm impressed with speed of processing. No questions asked. Im just amazed.

Its worrying that the pup has had only one shot......hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can respond?! Wonder if the pup would need a heartworm test as well before being heartwormed again? BTW - knowing my love of beagles....any pics? :P

How Many People Here Brush Their Dogs Teeth?
SeeGee replied to jazawayaya's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Has she had a proper dental? I don't like sticking my pets under anaesthetic unnecessarily, but sometimes if tartar has already built up, I think it's better to get a dental done & then it's much easier to start from scratch to keep the teeth properly clean. Needs to be under a GA to get under the gumline, since this is what is causing the gingivitis. No he hasnt. I took him to the vet for his check up recently and we talked about his gums. Our vet said they didnt look to bad and at this stage not to worry......but I just dont want them getting any worse. I may get them looked at again next time we are down. Cheers, jacqui -

Yea Charlie has gingtivitus (red/bleeding gums arount tooth line?) occasionally. They are always red, only bleed when irritated, we feed raw as well. I wipe his teeth of plaque every few days but dont know how to get rid of the inflammation, Thanks Jacqui -
yea im thrilled. i hardly slept but have had a nap and run into work - OH is at home lounging with the dogs today. I just wish i could spend the day cuddling her but it wasnt to be.

she is home, snappy, hungry, and needs another blood test in ten days to check her kidneys. she is alot brighter. her stools appear to be alot better. the greencross vets at ellen grove were brilliant. i cannot find any fault with them. im going to go to bed now. thank you to everyone who sent their thoughts and support. xo
