My vet asks me if i want the other dog looked at and I say no, then they check him anyway, unofficially (We always take the 2 beagles together, cos if one has got it, so does the other) I love my vet.

Hi All, Mias' left eye has suddenly gone lazy. There is no supporting behaviour - she is not rubbing her eye, there is no discharge, it is not red - its just lazy. We are going to the vets tomorrow but I wondered if anyone else ever had a pups eye just go lazy? Thanks Jacqui

What Is Advantage Of Being A Canine Good Citizen?
SeeGee replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
is there a linky? Can i do this in brisbane....beagles have a long way to go - I cant get them to stay......ever..... Reminds me, I have to ring the bat phone for help:p -
I just wanted to share! It was the most well behaved miniture poodle (i think, was just a quick glance) spread out at the feet of his young charge on a blue mat which said "please dont pat me Im working!" So gorgeous and got such a lovely reaction from everyone on the train - very respectful, but politly curious people.

Apparently All Dogs Get Cysts Where They Get A Cut?
SeeGee replied to SeeGee's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
cool....As long as i wasnt missng anything. this girl has a family member who is a breeder so perhaps is more pedantic about a small cut, to ensure her pups are sold knowing she has done everything she can to prevent anything? I dont know. but thanks everyone, Im not going mad -

Apparently All Dogs Get Cysts Where They Get A Cut?
SeeGee replied to SeeGee's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
nah ive left it. the girl at work was saying that it would develop into a cyst ?? I thought that was a little odd. -
Hi everyone, Mia and Charlie often play rough, and this time, Mia has lost a small patch of hair near her eye. It doesnt actually touch where the eye is at all, and its like its been waxed, there is no cut per say, just a patch of skin with no hair, it didnt bleed, just went red. As it didnt bleed, I just made sure it was clean and left it. Its about this ___ long and this -- wide. A girl at work has told me that all dogs get cysts where they get a cut and that I should have put silver spray (?) on it. I dont have silver spray though i have heard of it (if its the stuff im thinking of). Charlie has never gotten a cyst when he has had a cut before?! Have I missed something?? I didnt think this was the case. Id love it if anyone would set me straight - thoughts/opinions. Thanks Jacqui

Hey - a little while ago i was filling the salt grinder and i dropped about 8 small crystals. Before I got to it, Charlie was there quick smart, licking them up. About 1/2 hour later he had 3 instances of hacking cough and clear vomit/drool. Other than all this he is ok. He hasnt done it since. Has access to plenty of water, no excessive drinking. Salt experiance anyone? Just wondering..... Cheers Jacqui
