Ello everyone.. I've been a slack little critter and haven't been coming in here as much as I should have I went to the Big Day Out for Dogs on Sunday and joined the Varieties of Bichon Related Breeds Dog Club of Victoria. I ended up entering the members comps and got to have a practice run... Lola even got a first place for tail set... hehe Can't wait for the 2nd of Jan now!

*waves* I am one as well showing a Miniature Pinscher! Although I don't show frequently and mostly showing at KCC park, but Clancy only had 6 Shows so far and picked up Minor in Group at his second show under a Min Pin Specialist Phillip Cross and his third show he picked up Minor in Breed and Runner Up Minor in Show (all with competition) at the United Pinscher Club of Victoria! He is so full of himself, but he is an absolutely gorgeous boy! He's a cutie how tiny! I haven't been to KCC park yet... will have to start thinking about going there when I get my membership and actually start showing Congrats Jess & Leo... well done Oooh I'll probably be heading out to Ballarat soon just to get Lola out and about... I can't wait to start getting in the ring. I have a Lowchen

You're so right!! I was all alone!! I'm in Melbourne and we started at the same time as angelsophie, poocow and a little before the rest of the gang on here. Are you down here? *will go back now to look at your posts* Edit: Ohh you're a super noob!! Well awesome Yay... I have company :p Where abouts in Vic have you been showing... and yes... very noob. Need to keep an eye on my bank account to see when Dogs Vic take my money... I'll have a better idea then of when I get my membership details... I'm hanging out for it!

This is the bit I'm really interested in... from what I've seen if you don't contribute to it and can personally ignore it you don't really experience it as much. I am really interested in showing, I have no desire to deal with the crap.

I'm just curious whether any of the newbies have encountered show ring politics yet, if so what was it and why do you think it happened? Obviously no names/details etc. I've heard a lot of talk about the politics of showing dogs and I'm wondering if it's relatively avoidable.

She could be Toby's (not so) evil twin! ;) She is very cute, and I do adore Toby, Bec, so you know I'm joking! ;) You were correct the first time with evil... she is an evil little chew monster... grr! LOL.. we'll see.. she's a bit of a monster at home. We've had a practice run in the ring not long ago and she went really well.. will just have to keep the practice up

No, I've got another dog I haven't begged someone to update my sig yet :D I'll be hitting the show ring with a Lowchen, Sivaro Strike A Pose That pic is when I first got her about 6 weeks ago Her coat has grown... I have some stacked pics but won't post them because I can't do her justice yet.

It's growing really well... I'm planning on taking Bilbo Baggins' advice though and getting her in the show ring before her coat is ready so we get to have some no pressure practice
