Kanati, your babies are so smooshable! I love the little silvery fawn parti girl. Shellby, have you got the settings on your photo album as 'everyone' can view? Apart from that as long as you are on the main album page you should be right to just insert the link as usual?!

I was going to mix and match mine... paper for their toilet area and I wanted to grab some carpet pieces for their play area and I have some foam pieces etc, I wanted to try to get them a few different surfaces to try out. Under all of this I have builders plastic to protect the carpet I still need to work out what they are going to have as their bed when I move the whelping box out shortly.

I feel your pain Merrirose!! I have done shows every weekend in April and had the litter... I had hubby at home to take care of the kids while I was gone. Basically what I did was take shoes off before walking through the door, sprayed them completely with disinfectant and didn't wear them in the house (although they stayed in the kitchen area), stripped off all of my clothes and put them straight in the wash then had a shower and washed my hair before going anywhere near the pups. Apart from my grooming box and handbag anything from the show stays in my husbands car and bitch and pups go out in my car, although if I had to mix and match I'd probably just spray the car with disinfectant which is what I did with my grooming box and handbag. I may be a bit anal though because this is my first litter

Whose Lowchen? Have you got it's Reg name? -
Woohoo.. Pugsley has both eyes open... as usual Wednesday is a bit behind.. hopefully not by far

Great question... I was curious too. Hehehe you'd be surprised how many people ask They are fluffy all over and if you leave them in full coat they look like miniature bearded collies apparently I need to double check how old they are when they get their first clip but it's between 3 and 5 weeks, but first clip you just do their bums... later on you clip the bit of their forelegs from their elbow to a little above their joint and their feet I can't wait to shave their wee little bums, they look disgustingly cute after their first clip.

Awww.. Pugsley has his right eye half open now.. squeee.. not long to go. and I'm even allowed to have cuddles with the babies on the couch (under close supervision)

Well I for one am not about to sugarcoat the fact I am quite horrified a dog was hit and left outside for doing something completely normal and instinctual... You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Not one of us is perfect, we have made mistakes in various areas of our lives, including with our dogs. While we may know more than others at this point in time and it is easy to say 'I am horrified' or 'it is completely your fault', how would we respond to such remarks? I for one would be far less inclined to attend to information presented in such a way than, for example, "I am really sorry for you loss, however have you considered...." I agree that the message is important but the delivery is not going to do anything to help. ... and no I am not talking about you specificially.. but the whole DOL demeanour.

Who's CC was it Lady? Sorry I'm really not sure It was from the Open class, that's all I can remember... sorry. -
Oh I'm so sorry! I can understand your partner being upset. We had an accident with our chickens which resulted in the Afghans chasing one down and killing it. It is so hard at that moment to look at the dogs and feel all the love that you have for them, and it does take some time to remind yourself that dogs will be dogs and whether it is a chicken or a guinnea pig, it is prey to them and fair game if the opportunity arises. I hope your Step Daughter is ok and can understand in time that it was just an accident.

Oh DR I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP to your beautiful Odie and to Jazz. I truly hope your family are able to come to terms with the loss. I agree with another poster's comment about considering counselling for the children. Children are amazingly skilled at finding reasons why they are at fault. My thoughts are with you and your family.

They are gorgeous Merrirose! I love that loveheart, how cute!

LOL! I'm not sure that Pugsley needs much more personality... it will be lovely to see Wednesday come out of her shell though
-
Hehehe thanks everyone :D I think they're pretty cute. BM, my babes are the same as yours, slit formation and you can see them react to light or touch on their nose or forehead with squints but not open yet. I suspect it will only be a matter of days
