  5. Aaaaargh!! 1 full body bath and 2 'part' baths - Runny pooooos!!!
  6. Little bugger just growled at me when I put my hand in his food bowl while he was having lunch!!! That will stop!! Never had it with a beagle but by the time he had finished eating and I was feeding him food out of his bowl the growling stopped..... like I said - little bugger!!! Cat - his name is Enzo
  7. Gosh that's a shame! They are very expensive over here and a good size waiting list!
  8. OK - here are some photos! He is verrrry different to a beagle puppy - not nearly so full on, quite happy to have his own company. I have to remember that wehn he has had a good play he gets 'put back to bed' like a baby!! I caught a duck - aren't I clever! Stalking the septic tank mushroom! Meeting some of the tribe!
  9. Well, he's here!! He's absolutely gorgeous!!! He's been soooo good since he arrived - brilliant with the cats and the kids, stirring the other beagle pups up. Slept all night - just one accident in the house. Have had to treat him like a baby out for playtime then back in his crate for his sleep, then eat........ loves his food and loves his cuddles.
  10. Tomorrow -tomorrow!!!! Can'r wait to see how much he has grown! and will be great to bring him home - then we start with the toilet training!!
  11. 3 more sleeps!!!!! Getting ever closer!!

  14. Monah - Luuuurve those photo's of your girl - particulalry the last one on the boat!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! For those that want one - well, we have liked them for 6 years and seriously waited for one for 4 years! Dedication eh!! (or mad!!) We also have 2 standard schnauzers - 1 a champion girl, Baillie, and 1 rescue boy Flynn, they are both 14yrs old, Baillie still going strong and Flynn not so strong...... 14 Beagles ranging from 9 months to 7 years and 8 cats! 3 farm cats, 1 lilac Tonkinese, 1 Ebony Oriental, 1 seal burmese and 2 Birmans... Now you can see why we needed a dog that gets on with everybody and everything!! Oh and we also have 6 grandchildren...
  15. Oh Monah I just LOVE those photos of yours - they are just wonderful!! Don't know if I could cope with that mud though!! Here are some more to keep you going - can't wait to bring him home!!! A similar one just so you can see the change in him!

  17. All of the ones we know have a fantastic temperament, Very laid back and easy going, so much patience you have to be careful not to push them too hard as they just keep taking and taking. We have wanted one for 6 years now and final!ly have the opportunity!! Going out to see him again next Sunday when he willbe 6 weeks old so more photos! pewithers - thank you :-)
  18. Well - we went and saw our new puppy last week!!! 4 weeks old so will be able to come home on New Years Day!!! Can't wait!! What is it? We are getting an Italian Spinone boy and are calling him Enzo!! Have waitied a long time for this wee boy so he will be so much fum! We will be showing him - will be a bit different to showing the Beagles
  19. My OH made a 'channel' just wide enough for pup to stand up in and walk up and down in. We made a game of it and within a week you would never have known he was any different.
  20. We have picked our new puppy owners pups based on all their circumstances - what we have also found is that the new owners have picked the ones we have chosen for them with no prompting from ourselves. We have always taken the one(s) we are keeping out of the equation though. We match up based on lifestyle, children, other pets, personality etc.
  21. Definitely tucked back in! Any cutting out means they are far more prone to Dryeye - tacking also puts holes in duct which again will more than likely end up with Dryeye. The best way is that the vet makes a 'pocket' and tucks the duct in there. Yes it does cost a few hundred but is worth it. If left out the eye will ulcerate and the dog could well end up losing the sight in that eye. Have had this done and have never had it reappear
  22. There is an easier way!!! By a cheap second hand one just for the dog gear!
