  1. What about a Boston Terrier? Would be happy with one walk, will bark to let you know people are around - just a thought....
  2. I have not long had a litter from my oldest girl - she will be 9 in September - however she is fit as a fiddle, can run and play all day. This is her second and last litter, she is a great mum and bounces back easily. I always say she is 8 going on 2! LOL
  3. If you see what I wrote under 'Swimmer Pups' you will see that we made a 'channnel' for our swimmer - had him up walking properly within 3 days. It really helped to strengthen the right muscles. We have also lent it to another breeder friend of ours very successfully.
  4. Piper has 5 beautiful babies 3 girls and 2 boys - she had 6 but we lost the last wee girl...............
  5. Oh sooo sorry - fingers crossed for the little solo boy
  6. She is is bit large isn't she.....................
  7. Piper is getting very large as well
  8. Read what I have written about the channel - I found this was brilliant......
  9. Confirmed that Piper is in whelp - due the 8th - saw 5 little bubs, may be more...........
  10. Fingers crossed a litter of Beagles due 8th February :)
  11. Hmmm I was going to suggest the DAP diffuser as well - it has been a great help to me. Can you order on line and get it delivered? Lavender ALWAYS helps me sleep so that might work well.... fingers crossed for you to get a good nights sleep.....
  12. When we went to meet our schnauzers breeders I ended up on the floor with one of the older ones sittiing on my knee - they had no puppies then but went to meet the breeders and the adults to make sure it was what we wanted. The fact that the boy was soooo relaxed around me apparently sold us to the breeders as Schnauzers are quite aloof. :D When people come to meet our beagle babies we are quite happy for them to have cuddles and smooch as much as they want. Depending on how long the drive has taken to come to us we offer them a tea or coffee and just sit and chat - hopefully making it easy!
  13. Their runs are a big paddock divided into 2 :)
  14. I'm afraid we have those that 'shouldn't be allowed' but here are progress photos The blank runs The 'boxes' are their kennels - they have a flap so it keeps them warm inside plus they have blankets They now also have benches infront of their boxes which they can lie on if they get too hot. They also have big grass runs.............
  15. That's cos they're not!!! Thet are in a 2011 thread instead of 2012!!!
  16. Here are the pups today at 2 1/2weeks old. Primrose, Podge, Spot and Squidgy :D As you can see they wouldn't be able to stand and lap - they'd fall in it!
  17. This is from the left Primsose, Podge. Spot and Squidgy (the boy) :D
  18. My feelings are that pups gain weight at different 'speeds'. Some do steady weight gains and some grow in spurts. Ours have gone from an average of 320gms at birth to an average of 1150gms at 2 weeks, the smallest, Primrose, is gaining weight 'relevant to her size' so is still slightly smaller than the other 3. Quote . At 12 days they should be able to stand and see to learn to lap from a dish. Gosh! Obviously different breeds reach milestones at different rates. Our have just got their eyes open and are starting to wobble along - there is no way that they can see and stand and lap from a dish!! I have attached a photo of them at 2 weeks......
  19. Gosh - they are a decent size!
