  1. Yeah the milk gave me a shock, I wasn't expecting it for a while but I don't think it's hit me how close she actually is...! From today:
  2. We have milk here already! She's looking very big. 2 weeks to go...
  3. Ruby is exactly 1kg heavier than she was on Monday afternoon!
  4. Sounds exactly like Ruby. Rubes hardly even chases the ball now. She came home from WA like that. Holly on the other hand is as silly as ever!
  5. Ruby is scoffing her kibble but not so keen on her meat and bones at the moment. Holly, my Aussie Shepherd bitch is on co-ownership with the breeder is also pregnant, a week behind Ruby but is going back to the breeders for her litter, so we have 2 pregnant ladies here! Holly has had a bit of an upset tummy this last week but happy and hungry! She's not nearly as big as Ruby but the vet thinks they both have around 7 babies so we shall see.
  6. I duno, I think Aussies are some of the cutest pups ever... I also love my terriers though, I would happily have quite a few more Irish and some Bull Terriers too please! Have recently fallen in love with some hounds as well.
  7. Perhaps if you are talking about breeds like Aussies which are generally easy to get along with, other breeds can be a bit different. For example, with the Irish, if someone already has a desexed male I would be strongly recommending a female, and vice versa. ETA: Our biggest issues are caused by our desexed bitch.
  8. 1. What is wrong with a merle to merle mating? Does the colour being mixed cause issues (i.e. the deafness) and you should only mate a merle to a solid or soemthing? TIA Merle to merle mating can result in homozygous merle pups who are predominantly white and have hearing and sometimes sight issues. :D ETA: So yes merles should be mated to solids.
  9. Fingers crossed for everyone! Ruby is home from the vets, she's got a fungal ear infection. She's 3kg heavier than when she was last in (3 months ago) and she's not fat, it's all baby belly! :D
  10. If it was one of my puppy buyers I would want to know for sure! I would really appreciate a heads up.
  11. Ruby is getting FAT and her nipples look HUGE! 3 weeks left...
  12. I cant praise Topspot kennels more highly, I would not send my dogs(and cat) anywhere else, they are caring and professional My dogs have just come home from a few days at Topspot and have been well cared for and loved, Abbie is a rescue dog and was an unknown quantity as to how she would cope but she was fine, Yogi is my spoilt little prince but is always happy to go to the kennels :p I'm glad you like Topspot! :D During uni I only work once or twice a week so I must have missed Abbie and Yogi this time, hopefully I'll get to see them next time.
  13. Monah, check out Topspot Boarding Kennels. :D Clean and well run with lovely grassed yards and awesome staff. :p Everyone who works there adores dogs. :D One of our girls is actually thinking about getting a Vizsla. We had a wirehaired in the other day! No good for Zug Zug though as we are well and truely booked out for Christmas. Christmas is NUTS when you work in boarding kennels.
  14. Better than the Mini Long babies I showed the other week, put the lead on and FLOP, no legs, not walking ANYWHERE! No food could get them going either, they would lay on the ground and wag their little tails at us! Judge was lovely and gave them all cuddles.
  15. I just pulled a grass seed out that was embedded in Holly's chest! Nasty, foul things, I HATE them.
  16. Good luck SBT101, hope there's plenty of babies in there for you to pick from. What colours are you expecting? I love the reds.
  17. Yeah a fun time is much better than a sad puppy, I'd rather a happy naughtier adult than a sad sook on the end of the lead. Have fun with your baby and make sure you laugh (and breathe).
  18. Most judges will allow naughty behaviour from babies, mine (who is almost 6 months too) still won't stand still, she would much rather wiggle her whole body at the judge.
