My out of coat red girl picked up a surprising BCC over her (better) half sister on her new lead over the weekend. Mum has ordered an orange, green and white lead for her Irish Terrier.

My offer of transport still stands. Happy to drive to Mannum or Strath/Victor way too. Sounds desperate so I can donate a little now but will put more in with my next pay.

Hey Lindsay what happened to your Irish judging on the Tuesday. Seen the steward in a bit of a flap there for a while before you went in. No idea! I think they just missed her, she was in the catalogue but no sheet for the breed. They didn't want poor Ruby! Why do you say that? Because at the end of the day the colour means squat, I love the blue merle BCs, but if the right dog comes up, at the right time, and it happens to be a B&W...so what? I could get my pretty blue merle, and it could totally suck at agility, where as I could get a B&W who is from sporting lines and it might become a champion...I know there are no guarantees when it comes to breeding, but the right lines are at the top of my list A very wise way to go about things. I hope your perfect dog is out there for you when you're ready. Thanks lol, I was hoping my post wouldnt come across the wrong way, I really would love a blue merle, but Im not holding out for it, and Im not going to buy a dog based on its colour...heck when the time comes I might be right off dog sports (not likely) and Ill be after a different breed...another consideration is an Aussie, but I really like my dogs to have tails lol, and I dont think Aussie breeders will like it if I ask for a blue merle with a tail lmao People asking for a certain tail status certainly isn't unusual. I think very few breeders would be offended.

How much was her initial consult alone, if I can ask? I am looking at $150 initial consult for a derm visit but will get some off that being a vet student. It was around $180 I think. It was quite expensive for the skin scraping and cytology though! The intradermal testing is $350 and allergy vaccines around $300 for 6 months. We only get a 15% discount at sydney uni. I think 150 sounds pretty reasonable, especially if you get a good discount Thanks! 25% discount here but we are the first group through so things may change in the future.

I show a "Chip" and the breeder also has a "Spud" - they were different breeds but the litters were quite close in age. Had a chocolate coloured cat called Snickers. It was perfect, he was a ratbag but always looked like he was grinning/laughing about it. Miss him everyday.
