    A pyo can be insidious , small " maybe " signs that something is wrong , usually not really taken notice of until too late & there is this dreadfull pus filled horror to remove . Seen it so many times . I actually dropped a uterus that was the salami look as described @ the begining of this topic . It was so HUGE and slippery, it was too difficult to handle . What a mess !!! Luckily it was completley out of the poor bitch & just affected me & the vet who both had a long cleaning up session after said bitch was happily recovering after surgery . She was right as rain . The same could not be said for us as we mopped up the mess with a million towels that then found their way straight to the bin . YUCK

    I know this is for our doggy friends but to me , ALL my pets are equal . a week ago today we buried our mate Indi . We had him from birth for over 16 years . I rescued him & his litter mates when they were still wet & the cord attatched . Many hours of heating bottles ( no microwaves then in our house ) , Many many years with our 1st baby so to speak . Now he is gone under the yellow carpet roses in our garden . I am still quite amazed at how much it has hurt loosing him .

    Demodex is often shown with bare patches around the eyes & feet . Take your dog to the vet for a skin scraping

    Ivomec in injection form seems to work well . I had one of my dogs treated this way many, many years ago& we are still using it today at our surgery . When something works well you stick to it

    23 years of vet nursing & I have not come across a bad reaction to a vaccine . Nursed plenty of parvo cases though , VERY unpleasant !!!!

    I am so devastated with the news that AM CH Jordean All kiddin" Aside " OLLIE " passed away yesterday . My thoughts are with Andrea Jordan on her great loss , , All Brittany owners feel the same I am, sure as Ollie was the matriach of our breed . The top winning brittany in the world to date Rest in Peace Ollie, Your proginy lives on to honour you !
