Well I quite like Jura. I think it suits the little guy.

Thanks WA! Very cute picture. They really act like true sisters don't they? Despite the breed difference. How did Halo go in her first show? Also do the rest of you have plans for your pup? This is my first pup so I'm just discovering all the activities in the doggie world. Obedience is really jumping out at me at the moment so I might suss that out later. The thought of showing freaks me out a little. I'd hate someone to judge my dog because I would obviously think he's the most attractive Aussie, and to be told otherwise would be horrible.

DL - Seeing him this Friday will make the last week go quickly. By the time we pick up Archie it would of been two weeks since we have last seen him. It's really dragged on. You'll think of a name soon enough. OH and I couldn't agree on names for ages. When I mentioned 'Archer' we both instantly knew it was going to stick. Hope you take pics for us during your visit. Nadine, you must be so excited to see them! I think that between Huga, myself and possibly DoggyLovers, there will be a lot of puppy pictures this weekend!

You are very lucky! We have to keep Archie outside while we aren't home. We get him Friday night after OH gets home from uni at about 6. Super exciting!! I must be thinking about him a lot because I keep having dreams with Archie in them. I can't wait to see new pics of Sid. I expect he will look a lot different than the pic of him in your sig.

That's awesome! We will be getting our pups on the very same day! I am definitely counting down the sleeps now. Very excited. I love all the new pics. SmoothieGirl, you are quite the handywoman!! I wish I was that clever. I just purchased a pen which I was sure an adult Aussie wouldn't be able to jump out of. Now I'm just paranoid someone will see my cute little pup when I'm at work and steal him. :D Anyone else have these fears?

Espinay and Baileys mum, how big are your dog runs. Just out of interest? OH and I will be building in a year or two on our rural block. We are keen to make a dog friendly back yard that is fenced off from the rest of the property only because the rural fencing wouldn't keep a dog in.

RedBubble - Nothing there yet. But I will be adding my art soon. Flickr - Photos of my pup, other pets, and challenge theme photos. Facebook - A fan page that promotes my illustrations and design. DeviantART - My art again. I include pieces I wouldn't put in my portfolio.

Beautiful photos. Very inspiring! I will be joining this Saturday.

We have a pen set up for our puppy with kennel, shade, water, toys, etc. But because our house is in view of the main road I'm paranoid someone will see my pup outside and steal him.

I hope not. I finally have a camera now and I can participate this month.

Lovely photo of Envy! Huga, I know how you feel. Getting impatient here. The last little bit of the wait is dragging on so much. I love his name.

I'm confused. Do you have set times to take the puppy out or do you wait until it whines? And if it is whining how do you know it is because he wants to toilet. If you get him out every time he whines doesn't this teach the pup if he whines he gets out of the crate even if he doesn't need to do his business? For set times, how often should you be getting up to take him out? This thread is very relevant to me too.

I wasn't sure with mine. So like Dogsperson suggested I just got a cheapish plain black buckle collar and a light weighted nylon (I think?) lead for puppies.

I've just discovered this thread. Great photos! How does this 52FD work? Do you have to start in January or can you jump in whenever?

Happy Birthday Barkly! Great thread! As well as getting to watch Barkly grow (he is beautiful) we get to see your photography and photoshop skills develop through the stages. I love playing with my raw files as well, first in Indesign and then some spot removal in Photoshop but so far I haven't experimented as much as you have. I love the blue and white shots of him at the beach. Amazing!

Thanks Bec. I should be expecting mine sometime next week hopefully. And good to know about the padding.

Jakemon she is sooooooooooo cute. Seriously. Those photos are adorable. Her smiley face makes me smile. LOL at the speak command. How are you going with toilet training and other general training? Gosh.. I'm so jealous. Want. Archie. Now.

Cute Video: 3 Dogs - Who Made This Mess?

Haha. SO cute. Thanks for the laugh! -
To those that ordered bags from PorteenGear, just wondering how long between the payment and delivery? I ordered mine 2 and a half weeks ago. So hopefully it isn't too far away. I'm excited to see it. I really hope it keeps my camera safe and snug. I work at a camera house and I had a guy come in today with a cracked lcd screen (the screen wasn't working at all) which wasn't covered under warranty. He insisted that he hadn't damaged it but we found a scrape on the side of his camera bag and he had obviously knocked the bag against something which had put pressure on the camera inside. He was pretty mad that the bag hadn't protected the camera. I felt so sorry for him.

Fentsar, what a cutie. We'll definitely need lots more pics when he arrives home. Have you got a name picked yet? Archer got microchipped today. Apparently he was a good boy.

I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out. My dad said the same thing. Haha. Just one more thing to love. I love both the blue merles and black tris. If I ever get a second Aussie I'll definitely get a blue merle. I originally loved Bernese Mountain Dogs when I was a girl, but then discovered the Australian Shepherd later. I think I'm just drawn to black tri colouring.

Very cute DL! I quite like number two. I saw my pup today also. It was soooo much fun. I'm really confident in the pup I chose out. He was very people friendly and not as cheeky as the others. His nature seemed quite gentle in comparison. He was lovely! Not long until he comes home. And I took a video of him too. link

Koda is gorgeous. You are very lucky. I see Archie tomorrow after work. Hopefully my work day goes quickly.

Luckily my OH doesn't check receipts. We've spent around 600-700 on all the dog stuff we've needed. That includes the dog kennel, crate, toys, urine off, bowls, collar, lead, id tag, blankets, etc. And we also had to purchase some fencing which was super expensive. And then the puppy itself. But every dollar has been worth it. I've waited to own a dog for so long so I don't care if it's spoilt. But I can safely say I bought the very last item today. All that's needed now is some puppy food and the puppy! Huga, Sid sounds like a real character. Can't wait to see more pictures of him. When do you see him next? When he comes home? Annie, congrats!!! You must be sooo excited. A friend of mine has a Cavalier at the moment. They are great dogs. I love the name Koda. It reminds me of Brother Bear (a movie I love). If you get another dog you should call in Kenai.

Nesting... ahhhh so that's the name for my recent spending sprees.
