Awesome shots. I can almost hear the ocean. I love beach photography. I'd be too scared to take my slr down to the beach.

I love all the easter shots! Especially the one of Lottie. I'm posting this a day late but it was taken yesterday. Archie week 7/52 at 14 weeks old.

Hmm bit of a question here. We only have a couple of friends with dogs. One has a BYB Rotty pup that is the same age as Archie and our other friend (who is our neighbour) has just adopted a 9 month old Staffy x Labrador. Both these dogs seem to get growly and aggressive towards Archie. Archie tends to jump up at their faces in play so maybe he just really annoys other dogs? Or do you think the other dogs are just aggressive? He seems fine with every other dog he's met at puppy school though.

Awwww Enzo is adorable. Spinones are awesome! I bet he will be so much fun.

Dallas is adorable. Love the photos of her on the grass. I'm jealous. I want a goldie one day.

Thanks for all the input about the car sickness. We had our first trip to puppy school without ANY vomiting on Sunday. The difference is that I had Archie on the floor of the car so he couldn't see out the window and I made a quick stop in the middle of the trip. It is our longest trip each week and I was really amazed he wasn't sick. Just a lot of drooling. He has learnt to lay down while I'm driving. But I think I just got lucky that time. Welcome to Quinn! She's so cute. Congrats to Tess and Ren on their wins. Poor Scooter. Why did he have a vomiting episode? I love his fluffy photo. I bathed Archie tonight. I love it when his whites and white and his black is nice and shiny. It doesn't last long though. My OH is away 5 days a week at uni (long distance) and I find that Archie is generally more hyperactive when OH is at home. Where as if it is just me and Archie, Archie tends to be a lot calmer? I wonder why? Maybe when OH comes home it throws Archie out of routine. Or maybe Archie is so excited that he is home, that his excitement lasts all weekend. Also, he is finally sleeping through the whole night!

Haha. Thanks Huga, I tried to make it a bit more subtle by changing the opacity of the action over a copy of the original photo. I just made a huge list of tricks I would like to eventually teach Archie. I have ticked off a few already. We are working on leave it currently. Next up will be a good solid stay. I need to desensitize him to the car as well. He gets motion sickness and I think that has put him off wanting to get into the car. I can't physically lift him into the car for much longer. Now I think the vomiting is not only 'caused by the motion sickness but anxiety of being in the car (which was originally caused by the vomiting). So a few short trips are needed. I have tried junket tablets but they don't seem to work. Also tried putting him on the floor of the car where he can't see out the window but my car is small and he will outgrow this method quickly even though it seems to work. Anyone else have pups with motion sickness?

Glamour Shots Of The Sibs (charlie And Emmy)

Beautiful shots. -
This week I discovered photoshop actions, so I tried a little bit harder to get some nice photos to work with. This was taken after all the heavy rain in Tasmania.. Archie 6/52 at 12 weeks old.
-
Dandy, I will definitely try and get a video of Archie's high five and his other tricks! I love Razzle's wave. Very cute. I'm also trying to teach Archie 'leave it' based on the advice given here. Wadz, yay for another Tassie member! How did you go with all the rain over the last few days? Our paddock was beginning to look more like a lake. And Archie had a few accidents during the rainy days. It seems he hates going outside to widdle. Holly is adorable. You should try and get a pic of her and the cat together. I want a cat eventually. SmoothieGirl, congrats on the win! Ren has grown a lot since I last saw a pic. Getting closer in size to Bronte. Dante and Barney are sooo cute. So fluffy. Sounds like they are both doing well with their training. I'm still eagerly waiting for my 'Crate Games' dvd to arrive. I was hoping it would be here before the weekend. Doesn't look like it. Time for a photo overload... I took some nice ones the other day and I couldn't pick one or two. This is Archie's best friend. Lucan the Rottweiler pup. Their birthdays are only a couple of days apart. When me friend and I take them to puppy school we have to train at opposite ends of the group or these two just get too distracted by each other.

Willow is sooo cute!! Archie is my first ever dog so I can't help you there. I think over the last week I have finally 'connected' with Archie and I feel that we have finally bonded. He has terrible recall though, but I've ordered Susan Garretts 'Crate Games' so I'm hoping that will help with the recall and other general training? Archie has learnt to do high fives though. It is super cute. He is such a clever pup.

Guess Who Just Discovered Photoshop Actions?
Naomi replied to Naomi's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
No I can't afford it at the moment and photography is just a hobby so I can't justify spending money on it. I have the design suite for work which includes photoshop, illustrator, indesign etc. Just no lightroom. I have found either photoshop or bridge can do most of the stuff lightroom can do. But I can see how handy it would be for bulk editing. Wow there are a lot on that site. I will have to go through them all and suss out which ones I want and don't want. -

Huga, I totally agree. With any creative process, your first idea is never your best. But you just have to process anyway to make way for better things. Great links too. They both have their own styles. I might play around with some of the actions and try and figure out what makes them work. One thing I am missing is some great B&W actions. I saw a set I really liked but they weren't free. Surely actions can't be that hard to make? -

I will definitely have to have a go at making my own once I understand the editing process a bit better. I'm not sure how you would get the same result with each action on different photos in different lights. I like the bottom left too. It is the most subtle. Here are the ones I've downloaded so far. link link link link link -
I've always wondered how to get that 'filter' effect on my photos that I was often seeing on professional photos. I thought that it could only be done in lightroom, but I discovered it can be done in photoshop too! I know I know.. I'm extremely late to the party. Do you think that these photoshop actions enhance photography, or has it become overused? I'm having way too much fun with the actions I've downloaded so far. Here is an example. The image at the top is before the actions are implemented, and the four photos afterwards are all different actions. Which do you like the best?

Lottie, it turned out really well. Love the colours.

I was #480. 20 to go.

I'm a bit disappointed with my effort this week. I've been waaay to busy. Archie 5/52 at 11 and a half weeks old.
-
Panzer, Archie started to do this at about 10 weeks old. It isn't as bad now, but there is still the stealthy lunge at my feet every now and then. Having a good solid sit helps with this!! If his bum is on the floor he can't attack. Archie learnt shake tonight. He picked it up so fast!!
-
Okay so today is the second day in a row that Archie has been out in his run with no whining or barking. He seems to sleep a lot of the time because I'm making the extra effort to tire him out before he is in the run. When he is awake though, he is usually occupied with his food dispensing treats or the pigs ear. I followed the advice from the iWoof program and began feeding him all his meals from the treat dispenser toys. Keeps his mind active. I only give him the food in his run, or in his crate if he is inside. It appears to be working really well. I've also ordered the crate games DVD and that should be here next week. As far as treat dispensers I have a kong, ball, and a tug-a-jug which I introduced to him a few days ago. I'm going to get a few more so I can rotate them. Anyone have suggestions?

Free Running 16 Sleddogs - You Have To See It To Believe It!
Naomi replied to idigadog's topic in General Dog Discussion
Amazing video. I'm trying to get that dedication from 1 dog. Can't imagine trying to train 16 of them!! -
Ooohh Scooter is home! Congrats. He's such a cutie. Along with Corgi's, Papillons are my favourite small bread. Gotta love those butterfly ears. Lovely photos.

Uncle Zombie, awesome looking dog! Hope you find a search and rescue training team? Bjelkier, Dante is too cute. Sounds too good to be true almost. Must make it very easy to bond with him. WA, Halo is such a smart pup. I've only done the basics with Archie. I wanna teach him some cool tricks like that. Here is a vid of Archie playing and being a bit cheeky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTziHBmeUjQ
