YAY! Charch's a star! I can't wait to see it on telly. I've only seen the milk one so far. Have to say I'm a little disappointed and offended that they chose an old dude to play Charch's owner lol.

If it was a dog approaching, Spence would stick close and look to me for protection. 100% certain on that. If it was a person approaching in a threatening manner he would probably either react the same as above, or drop to the ground, roll on his side a little and wag his tail while looking at the person out the corner of his eye. Would probably pee a little too. If the person actually attacked me and there was a struggle Spence would probably think it was a game and would jump on us (would be just as likely to jump on me as the attacker) and bark and growl. He wouldn't do it to protect me, he'd do it cos he's the fun police

My BC x Kelpie sheds all year round. And he doesn't shed clumps of hair that are nice and easy to pick up. He leaves a trail of thousands of single hairs EVERYWHERE! Some of his shed hairs even made it to Thailand. Went there on holiday and found some of his hair stuck to my clothes in my suitcase

OMG it is! She looks so cheeky! Proper one of me and Spence:

Is that Puck? And is he 'kneeling'?? Looks like such an odd position for a dog to be in!

Cute! Dogs with 'eyebrows' are the best! One suggestion - try getting down to Luuka's level to take the photos.

Naaaww so cute! The one of Renae singing is brilliant!

Spencer does this. The little bugger will actually get up and escort you out of the room, stand in the doorway for a few seconds to make sure you're really gone, and then rush back into the room to scoff any food you've left within his reach.

Nice photos tlc. Looks like you had fun! About the number of crossbreeds versus purebreeds there... Seeing as it's an RSPCA event, I would think that a lot of the people who do the walk would have adopted their dogs from the RSPCA. Hence all the muttlies there.

I like my dog to walk next to me on a loose leash. But recently in an effort to improve his recall I've been bringing an extendable leash on our walks too. When we get to the walking track I swap him over to that and let him have free reign (still no pulling though) and call him to me every now and then. The first time I did it, I was expecting him to just go "Whoo! Freedom!" and not pay too much attention to me. I was pleasantly surprised when he kept looking at me and checking that it was really okay for him to be in front and further away from me. It occured to me that he might do that because he is so accustomed to walking next to me and following my movements?

Yes it made me cry too. Hang in there Jed. We're all here for you. -
If they're top quality working dogs, why the hell would the breeder want to just give them away to any old random person who wins a raffle? Doesn't he care where his dogs end up??

Happy Birthday To My Beautiful Big Boy Cooper Jay

Happy birthday Cooper! -
Huh? Dogs don't "believe" in murder either. They don't make a conscious decision to go out and "murder" another animal.

Voted no. My current cross breed dog is desexed. Future dogs will most probably be desexed at an appropriate age. But if in the future I wanted to keep a dog entire for whatever reason, I would like to have that option also.

You should come along with your camera next time. Yeh, I really should. If only to meet all the lovely whippets and watch them run. At the boarding kennel I worked at there was a nice looong rectangular yard. When we had a greyhound or whippy in we'd take them to that yard to let them really stretch out. So beautiful to watch.

Naaw she's looking all growed up! There was a lappie puppy in the vets waiting room the other day. She had broken her leg the poor thing. So fluffy and cute!

My fist reaction was NO! But...when I think about it, maybe I would. One of our cats died very suddenly and unexpectedly a few years ago. We had no idea why, so we had an autopsy done on her just to get some answers and make sure it wasn't a disease that could have spread to our other cat. We took the body back after and buried her in the garden. My bond and attachment to Spence is much stronger than it was with Fluffy, and while it would be incredibly hard to do I think I would let the vets learn what they could from him. As long as I got his ashes back.

They're great shots! They look pretty sharp to me. I like 'em Shame about the fence getting in your way. You should get some awesome shots at the next Whippet fun day though!

So for this challenge, anything goes as long as it's not posed or set up?
