  1. I feed vegies. Everytime wolves make a kill they eat stomach contents so i figure feeding it every 2 days may be more natural then every day.
  2. I have only just started the BARF diet and i follow what Cavandra feeds, though perhaps a little more vegies/fruit. I feed human grade beef mince at the moment i will give pork/lamb a go eventually, just want to figure it all out before i change anything. Finding it hard to buy really meaty bones and until i find a constant supply i will continue to feed mince regulary.
  3. Closest would be Bellarine Dog Club (in Geelong) If you want to come into the city there is Keilor on the west side. Plenty of info on here http://www.flyball.org.au/
  4. Maybe they just like eating grass? My oldest boy just eats it whenever, he likes eating it when out on walks because its lovely and green while my other will eat some then screw his face up and stop for awhile, then come back and try again Must think because Nova is eating it it must be good LOL. I stood with Nova for about 10 minutes once while he chomped on some.
  5. With my dogs i use kabana, cheese, chicken loaf, roast chicken, 4legs and the Natures Gift strip things. When doing flyball comps i nearly always use dim sims. Nova does back flips for them so i save them for special occasions On one occasion i ran out of treats and resorted to using grass  He still worked very well for it and ate it, suppose whatever i have must be edible!
  6. I feed completely raw now  I started only a week ago and am making changes along the way to suit the boys individual needs. Really i dont know who enjoys the new diet more, me or the dogs! Its the only food that after a week Darcy, who is notorius of being a picky eater is jumping all over me and quickly eating all of his food. I know it sounds weird but their poo is excellent!
  7. Rhapsodical - Personally i wouldnt enter if its your (and your dogs?) first ever show. Its big, loud and hectic not a good environment to start your dog in. JMO With the fees you get an exhibitors pass when you receive your numbers.
  8. I heard yesterday they may be cancelling it too! Now i am glad i forgot to enter, though i will be at Berwick on Sunday with hopefully better grounds

  10. Looks like you have already made up your mind on it. All i know and have been told is Cyno is designed for adult dogs, i was looking at getting it because my young boy (at the time 2 years) wouldnt put on any weight because he was very active and we do agility and flyball. Though i still dont see why you would need to put a puppy on it?
  11. Is there any reason that a puppy would need to go on such a high fat/protein diet? How old is the pup?
  12. Wow congratulations!!! Sorry, is Lucy a Wei or a Jack?
  13. I agree Some of his methods are alright but over all i dont like him much.
  14. Generally the dog clubs sell them. I got my dumbell and articles from my club.
  15. Thanks all, will have to start going into Woolies then buying in bulk if they have them. Think its time to let my fingers do the walking and start calling shops
  16. Pretty much what the title says. Looking to find a supplier in Victoria (prefer SE) but no luck, found a place that has them for $5 a kilo but they rarely get them in. Is that the normal price for them?
  17. No worse then any other sport we do with them. There is a risk in everything, even showing.
  18. Why insulted? The VCAs (now Dogs Vic) main registers are for registered pure bred dogs, its always been that way. There is no way you can prove your dogs are pure breds for several generations without papers.
  19. Myszka, what club do you go to? I guess its hard to do all those utopian ideas when a club gets to a decent size
  20. Here here SM. We cant help it if our dogs are versatile and can do anything Looks like fun, one of mine would love it.
  21. Nah its not an official thing, though thinking about it now maybe they just meant QS but thought QC sounded better? Thanks for the extra info though, learn something new every day
  22. Ive seen them used in agility and obedience as well, dont know enough about field/retrieving trials. All i know is its a "leg" towards a title!
  23. For obedience yes, language must be English unless otherwise approved by the judge.....not sure on what basis you could be exempt.
