  1. Excellent news voloclydes. I've been wondering how things were going. Keen to hear how she settle's in and see some photo's.
  2. Biscuits and a marrow bone in the morning and Free range chicken legs and beef mince from Coles. Spoilt dogs/
  3. That group has a good record for tracking down people and going public with the details. Hopefully her parents or someone close to her can change her attitude.
  4. I have that Solvit ramp. Bought it on ebay a few weeks ago for $159, which was very cheap. Brand new. The seller had six of them. There's usually another seller who has them for between $199 and $209. Only problem is my dogs won't use it. :D
  5. Good on you buddy of Jaxx
  6. I have to say the most friendly, beautiful, gentle dog i have ever met was a BMD that a guy used to bring up to my local dog park.
  7. Great choice of dog They're fantastic little dogs. Would you consider an older dog ? Some breeders do from time to time place an older dog into a new home for life for a small fee or sometime's at no charge. My parents have had mini daxies for 35 - 40 years and their current one only cost $100 ( had to twist the breeders arm to take the $100 ) She has great breeding, an Australian title and well behaved. The breeder simply had to rehome a few of the dogs. Something to consider maybe ??
  8. ....thanks lynda....... Just wanted to see that it was genuine.

  10. Thanks for the tips. I'll see how we go using some treats.
  11. The male gets too excited and just runs and jumps into the ute. I managed to get the old girl onto the ramp, but she was a bit wobbly and wouldn't go any further.
  12. I'm after some advice or tips on making my dogs use a ramp. I just bought the dogs a Solvit dog ramp, but neither will use it. The dogs are 8 and 10, so both getting on in age. I feel like a bloody idiot outside trying to get them to walk up but they won't. I really only bought it for the old girl, to get in and out of the ute, but i'd prefer if both would use it. Is persistence the only answer ? Otherwise it might end up in the for sale thread /
  13. My big bad boy came to me to test my patience and because without me he wouldn't be around today.
  14. Anyone who owns an animal such as the one above is anything but innocent and they should be the one's taken to the cleaners.
  15. Hey, The coat looks really good on her P.S. I was a bit worried that the noise of the velcro straps might scare her. I think those coats are good value though.
  16. Well done Kirty. What a cute Dal.
  17. Good idea ! P.S. Bloody coat still hasn't turned up here yet. At this rate Sophie won't get it this week now. ;)
  18. For me, i'd choose the GR. The thing i've never enjoyed about the GSD is the barking. Every GSD i meet, or that live's around here seems to enjoy barking too much. Puts me off ever owning one myself. Intelligent and athletic dogs, but the barking would put me off.
  19. No PM received here voloclydes. Can you try again thanks.
  20. Tomorrow is fine. That way she'll get it this week. Colour will be a lucky dip. All i ask in return is for you to post a pic of her with it for all of us to see/ ( Will need your postal address too )
  21. Ok, look, let's get one for her. She can't be out in the cold. They're as cheap as chips on ebay. I'll get her a cheap one, see how it goes. They have cheap weatherbeetas on ebay. If she destroys it, who care's.. PM me a size.
  22. I wouldnt take my dog anywhere that puts us a whole blogg bagging out another local dog training school. A bit arrogent. It's a business and that involve's marketing. What dog trainer / website doesn't make you think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread ? I know i fell for the same marketing from one who has a RAAF background the same as Mark Singer. Marks website is no exception. The comment about having all the solutions of puppy training i don't think is too unexpected from most trainers. In saying that, i don't know Mark Singer, he may very well be a great trainer.
  23. DOL pack mentality from the usual suspects. Nothing new really. Oh dear. Over April's Fool, are we? Yes please, Stormiie. ;) Removed the bug spray from your eye's have we ?
