  1. Your dogs spleen is not functioning properly causing the pancreas problem. No raw food, cold food, tin food, biscuits or dry food. Meat & veg cooked use iron rich meat, porridge is good, the food is to be warm & in this pre digested form to relieve stress on the spleen. Garry
  2. Just found your post & wondering if the dog is now ok, as the pics showed some bruising & fluid? Garry
  3. That's why i wont desex my dogs because too many excuses are made as not many people want to take responsibilty or the care.
  4. It sounds likely that the diet will fix your problem. Don't combine the wrong foods, give meat only for one meal & then grains & fruit another but combine the vegetables either with the meat or the grains & fruit. Diet given in small amounts 2 to 3 a day, 50% complex carbohydrates, 25% chopped raw green vegies, 25% protein, combos grains & vegies, grains & fruit, protein & vegies. Garry
  5. The vet should know straight away if its the patela, but what happens to a lot of dogs is that there is a fracture os stress fracture at the head of the fibula, have not known of mant vets to pick this up, Garry
  6. You said that finally your dog has been diagnosed! a bit too long for my liking, what are your dogs symptoms? Garry
  7. I only really like to start checking over puppies From 12 weeks of age unless something is obvious, recently had a boxer pup 12 weeks old to check & jumped around while i was checking it & thought just puppy play but after i adjusted its back the pup then stood like a show dog & i then was able to check it out fully, so sometimes the problem is not obvious, Garry
  8. Yes it was. Sadly the outcome has been poor and she remains lame and in pain. Good luck with your boy, you have all my best wishes. l feel that Charles is a bit critical of the accupunturist, but in saying that there is good & not so good people doing this. Having a top surgeon operate on my arm & putting a plate in that nearly severed the nerve (couldn't open my fist) i know that after removing the plate all the physio etc never changed a thing until i had accupunture, but after the first treatment i felt a difference in the hand. Three visits later with a little more movement in the hand i was told it was now ok. The little movement then progressed to FULL use of my hand. No coming back for more money etc the job was done in 4 visits. Also today started treating a dog with hyperextension of the cruciate ligament, & by the way i'm not an accupunturist.
  9. Good luck with the acupunture & the bandage. l wonder if the acupunturist will use an injection of pentosan 100 into the joint also, really good for tendons & joints, regards Garry
  10. l have treated some dogs with this problem, & the latest 2 are now back to normal, Where are you located, Garry
  11. It sounds the same as Dobes can get wobblers, if toes curl up the spine is in serious trouble, Sorry Garry
  12. Check out the small fibula bone at the head of it, in from the knee when you bend it, very common Garry
  13. Another way for a bitch to clean her self while marking her territory, Garry
  14. Balance the acids in the dog by feeding a tomato in the diet for a while, it works Garry
