Dog Snaps / Bites The Air When Excited
Eileen replied to Pete.the.dog's topic in General Dog Discussion
Dolly snaps at the air when another dog is hassling her and she wants them to leave her alone. -
Indian mynas are dreadful animals. Ugghhh.
-
Agree totally. I had no idea these dogs went out entire. I thought all rescue facilities desexed before rehoming. Weird.

From what I understand, if you are buying a blue pup, avoid buying one from a purely blue litter, making sure the parents aren't both blue. And Sandra, you are a very intelligent, reasoned woman. I love reading your posts.
-
But how can you reconcile that in the same breed standard, blue is listed as an acceptable colour?
-
Our blue girl has no health issues?

I'm not a blue fan myself (with any breed), but I think calling them 'vermin' is a bit harsh, especially when quite a few people on here have them as loving companions. Thanks Clyde - Dolly isn't vermin, she's a really lovely little dog That being said, I do believe the Canine Council ought to do something about it. When you research buying your purebred stafford, you don't expect to be told 6 months down the track that despite being a purebred dog on limited papers with a pedigree that was priced like a normal dog, whose parents have won show prizes, from a breeder who has bred many australian champions, your dog is still somehow deficient and not a "real" stafford. It's not very fair on puppy buyers, is it?
-
Thanks Clyde, I did wonder if that was what it meant. That would be the same for Dolly too. PS, she's not totally fearless either.
-
What does the "totally reliable" mean in the stafford breed standard?
-
You poor thing, Deelee, so sorry. Run free, Evie.
-
I am so sorry to hear this Emmark. Hugs to you and your family.
-
My stafford breeder says she limits pork products for staffords as she feels they can induce skin problems in staffords. We still give Dolly pigs ears cos she adores them too, we just really limit them.

We just kept walking further out in the sea until Dolly though she was being left behind and swam out to us. Then she realised it was sort of fun and now she loves going for a swim. But before that she was well and truly not going into the water.

There's a rotty at my local dog park. He's the sweetest bubba in the world. Everyone loves him.

I wonder why the dog attacks reported are all in the western suburbs?

RIP Benny. Hugs to the Warley clan.

Well I hope if I ever get sick you'll bring Angel to see me. She's such a character and so much love! -

Angel and Chopper would be so good at that. :D -
But I want to run before I can walk *insert groan at cheesy pun here*

Does anyone know how to get your dog to jog with you, without breaking out into a gallop as soon as you start jogging? I would love to be able to run with Dolly, but as soon as I start, she starts sprinting, and it really hurts my shoulder to be correcting her and jogging at the same time. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Angel looks like she is totally willing to rise to the challenge, though! -

Does Anyone Know How Long Ensal Takes To Work?
Eileen replied to Eileen's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yes, me too. We took her back the very next morning after the operation, but she was even worse this morning. Gosh yes, I hope she doesn't wind up with IBS, that would be awful - I had no idea dogs could get it. -
Monelite, no comment on your training, you're obviously a genius, but she's just gorgeous! What a pretty, smart girl.

Thanks, that could be great, I probably should have done that to begin with, so the poo was contained I'll see what OH thinks and give you a call.
