    Outside Puppy

Exactly ooo what breeds? Over exaggeration much? The dog won't be kept away from people and locked in a cage (I hope). Anyway plenty of breeds, including staffords ;) live happily outside

    Outside Puppy

If you want an outside dog then have him sleep outside from night 1. DOL represents only a small minority of dog owners...passionate ones. Outside of dol (in the real world) you will find more people have outside dogs rather than inside dogs. Obviously the dog will have suitable housing ie kennel and a coat for winter etc etc.

    Whining Puppy

Because he was asleep with you in the bed at your uncle's place that is where he wants to be with you now. Hence the whinging. I would crate him In your room if you can.
  6. I know! I turn it on and she runs out of the room and puts her head around the door for a little look Cats like treadmills too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyY5wqLtnYM Sorry for hijacking your thread :D
  7. My dally loves, loves, loves the treadmill!!! Well loves sleeping on it
  8. What are you using to clean the pee? I used Urine Off when toilet training my dogs. Worked really well. i have been just using a general disinfectant, so should i be looking for one specially for dogs? and i will start getting him back into his training. Yep, try the Urine Off. Always have to be consistent with them or they take the first chance to do what they want
  9. I believe if the smell of pee is still there he will go back there and wee again. Is he peeing in the same spots? Because he is small, I would take him out frequently to wee and praise him a lot when he does pee outside.
  10. I will crawl back into my cave now :)
  11. Lol, I was a few months slow in reply to the above I am just kidding
  12. OMG Huski, I am going to kill you!!!!!!!!!
  13. enough said. Why do you even bother starting threads if you don't even appreciate the advice that people give you?
  14. so so again She seems to be healthy because she is getting fed premium food, take that away and you will notice the difference. I cannot think of any supermarket dry food which would match the quality of premium dry food. I feed my dog for about $12 a week on raw food, as opposed to the $30 a week I used to spend on premium dry food. Dry food is convenient, pure and simple. Raw food only takes an extra few minutes a week to prepare - freeze and defrost. If you don't know what to feed your dog in relation to raw food then ask your breeder.
  15. If you start feeding her supercoat or crap dry food that will soon change If money is an issue then you should really look into feeding a raw diet, it is a hell of a lot cheaper then premium dry food. I really don't see how it can't suit your lifestyle
  16. aww everyone has such good photos Here is todays photo
  17. So last night I decided to join and I forgot today so I looked around and this is all I could come up with at 7:30pm
  18. Mohican - Is digging in his water bowl a breed trait? I know labs do it because it keeps them cool. It is not a good idea to remove his water bowl simply because he plays in it - he may be doing it for a reason Car training - I put the puppy in her harness on the back seat or front seat, ignored her whinging and crying (she did that at first). Once we arrive at our destination she gets praise and it is all very fun for her. There was no praise for going over a speed bump etc, no resassurance that everything will be ok, there was no way I wanted to reinforce that behaviour. She has learnt to associate a car ride with somewhere fun or there is something in it for her. Eg. My dog knows that harness and her yellow toy means the beach and she can't get in the car fast enough! There is really no need to make something so simple so complicated when it isn't necessary.
  19. Hey dogon - welcome to dol You do not need to be with your new puppy everyday for 6 weeks. The suggestion to cancel your holiday is just absurd. It is recommended you set a routine for your puppy the day you get him. If you spend all day with your puppy for 6 weeks, he will expect you to be there once you return to work and this can create all sorts of problems and issues. If you are going to be leaving the puppy alone from 8am-4pm 5 days a week, it is important you get the dog into this routine from the day you get him.
  20. Mia is probably just feeling sorry for herself
  21. Your boy is beautiful mcq I don't think Monah whinged nearly as much as Mia Mia has been in a coma since we got home, she is slowly coming out of it I wonder if Bakari is in the same state as Mia
