Puppy is good now, I held her for a good while and then used cotton bud and med tape...stopped bleeding...Ava is leaving it well alone :) Update #4 a boy

Number 3, girl Ava cheewed the cord way to short, was a lot of bleeding, I tried getting floss around it but hard on my own, so sat there pinching it with my nails, was hard to stop the bleeding....any ideas? Seems ok now...once the stop do they stop bleeding fully or of Ava tried to lick it can she aggravate it to bleed again??

Restless and panting, wants to go behind the couch in the loungeroom But is happy with the Whelping box as an alternative! :laugh: Not much action yet :)

I have a very restless, uncomfortable Ava here...digging at the towels in the box and looking at her tummy....hmmmm could it be tonight???

My Ava has has the temp drop. This morning 36.7, temp just taken again and is 36.3 So maybe tonight or tommorow :) Go Pom Ava!!!! Goodluck Pomz!!

My Ava is out playing with her toys in the back yard! She isn't going to be doing anything for a couple of days, temp is still in high 37's Exciting Pomz!!!! Come on Pom Ava !!!!!

I got told NO raw chicken as it can sometimes contain salmonella which the bitch can deal with, but can affect the puppies? Oh I have also tried scrambled and fried eggs....dont think she is going to eat much of anything now, she should pop them out in the next few days, then I am sure she will be back to normal eating a day or so after that...looks like its just roast chicken on the menu at mine...lol

I am home all day from tonight onwards, so will be on Ava watch until she has them.. Its so exciting, she is my very first pedigree show dog and technically the foundation to my own kennel :) She is a brilliant mother and has been very relaxed :) The only thing is she is not eating much and has been so very fussy since at least the 5.5week mark, wont touch dry food at all, her usual dry food is Advance Active, when she wouldnt eat that I brought her Advance puppy, again no eating that. I then brought the Royal Canin Mum and Baby Dog formula and nope nose up at that aswell...so I went for the supermarket brands and tried Optimum puppy and Sentinel...no luck.. I mix it with raw meat, gravy, sardines, yoghurt, tried rice with roast chicken..nope She even turned her nose up at Sirloin Steak !!! So far the only thing that she will eat is Roast Chicken, so have been buying her one of those every night, at least she is eating something :) I have also been giving her Nutigel so she has some sort of nutrients aswell..and have been giving her serves of warm water with Divetilec mixed in.. This dog is normally fanatical about food and will eat anything...so its very frustrating, I hate picky eaters! lol

Thanks Aziah for the info, I am taking her temp 3 times a day now..she is qetting quite swollen now and becoming very very sooky (which is unlike her) The vet and myself are banking on whelping either Sunday night or Monday night

What is the big temp drop? this is the first time I have done temp readings

Started temp taking last night....first temp 37.8, this mornings 37.6 My Ava is due anytime from Sunday. Felt a puppy move last night, amazing feeling

There is also tablets you can get MM from the vet that help milk supply, work faster too I believe :)

I think we counter twice, although maybe we counted one twice! Lol....maybe number 9 is hiding on the x ray! Lol

Hi Pomz. This is Ava's second litter, but first with me :) her first litter was with her breeder last October :) Your Ava looks like she is about to POP!!!
