    Puppy Limping

Also to add, Pano presents with intimitent limping, quite obvious when the dog walks/runs and more noticeable after exercise. If it started when the pup was young, stopped and the re-presented again later, that may coincide with growth periods I would speak to a vet that knows what Pano is get an x ray for diagnoses. If you google Pano in dogs you will find a heap of information, unfortunately a lot of people are not aware of this condition, even vets...

    Puppy Limping

It could be Pano, a vet can determine this by doing an x ray of the bones and if there is a fence shadowing it is diagnosed as Pano, it equates to growth pains and can show up on and off as the pup grows, sometimes not completely resolving until adult hood of the dog. Pano can sometimes switch from limb to limb or can sometimes be on and off in the same limb.. It's basically an Inflamation of the bones as the puppy grows, especially larger breeds that tend to grow fast. Uneducated vets will sometimes point to Hip or elbow dyslasia or something as drastic. Rob Zammit is a great vet in Sydney, otherwise Karen Hedberg.
  4. Your welcome I thought they were great
  5. Hi guys I see a lot of people enquire about dog runs etc and I cam across this company that does them in Victoria and can also transport to other states.. They seem a decent make and also the price is very reasonable for what they are. So thought I would post the link here for anyone interested http://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore2.aspx?id=1366074&styleid=12&siteid=15
  6. I dont have a fear of any breed, having worked in a boarding kennel for 4 years and bitten a few times or wary of a few dogs, however I see this as no reflection on any breed as a whole at all....I would not own certain breeds because of breed traits I dont particularly like or think I could live with, but thats personal preference not being wary

  9. Wonder if she was at Maffra the week before as a Pug exhibitors minor boy had diahrea so bad she had to get AB's for him. One of my girls had terrible diarrhoea after coming home from the Albury Shows a couple of weeks prior and had to get some antibiotics aswell hope its not the same exhibitor doing the rounds at all these country shows...

  12. A good GSD will do well in both rings, but again its dependant on the judges. A lot of times there are many lovely dogs in the line up's, all very worthy of being there and it comes down to the judges opinion on the day :)never be disheartened if your Best of Breed win goes no further as it is hard for a judge to choose between so many equally lovely animals Anglesun - I have to disagree with you on the "uncontrollable, hocks touching the ground" part, I have been up at the last 2 Albury Shows and all judges commented that they are a working breed and built to move and preferred them on the end of a lead pulling out and there were many fine examples there, who were strong in hock and body and who did move well at the walk and the gait and were awarded accordingly Interestingly enough my bitch went 3 x BIG and 2 X BIS at the recent Albury shows Sometimes it is disappointing when a Good example of the breed gets dumped to an inferior example, because its that judges "type" ...regardless of what the judge thinks a GSD should look like, its what the Standard says this is why many people do not show GSD's in the all breeds rings. I will continue to show my dogs in the all breeds rings as its a good day out with the dogs, enjoyable and there are judges that do appreciate a correct example of a GSD
