  6. And for the most part the stewards and the judges were very considerate about keeping the dogs out of the sun.... yep and very quick with their judging I think of each breed
  7. It's the dog that decides the sex of the puppies, so fingers crossed for you :) Photo please! I love the slug phase This is my boy as a biggish slug at 5 weeks, we are hopefully getting a little sister for him soon. The puppy will actually be a full sister to our boy and his mum is about 3 weeks away from whelping but doesn't throw many girls so we are waiting with
  8. I agree, it was lovely in the shade and there was a beautiful breeze going through, our dogs were hardly panting either and had a very relaxing day at the show :-)
  9. Thank you so much Helen xxxxxxxx She was only just 2 years old my house is very empty without my baby girl
  10. Thanks Kads, very sad household miss my girl
  11. And this is why the OP is asking for breed suggestions, taking all these things into account so her friends do not get a breed that is not suited :) isn't that the sort of thing that should be promoted, praising the thought process and research :)
  12. What about adopting a greyhound? They are generally laid back, dont require huge amount of exercise and from what I have seen very gentle :) Plus they get te good feeling of rescuing a dog in need and the fostered can usually match the dog to your needs/lifestyle I dont understand the negativity to people and dogs being outside? It's not the end of the world, it may not be what you want in a dog, but everyone is different :) I am glad to see your friends are doing their research and getting some ideas :) better than impulse buying and then having a thread about rehoming a problem dog :)
  13. sadly my girl was given her wings Monday just gone
  14. I paid $88 at Wyndham Vet Clinic and use Dr John Watts (repo specialist)
  15. It's all looking very positive :) I hope she is located soon :) thoughts are with everyone involved :)
  16. Beautiful looking Goldy and what lovely babies, congratulations to owners and breeder :)
  17. I am sorry but I am a firm believer that a dog should not act in this way. If I accidentally hurt one of my dogs, stepped on their tail in the walkway, I would expect they would yelp and move or run, I would not expect them to straight away turn around and bite.... Is this what most of you think is allowable? If you accidentally hurt your dog (in whatever way) would you expect them to turn around and bite you or snap towards you? Whilst I 100% agree parents need to educate children on how to behave around dogs and teach respect and boundaries and children should never be left unsupervised with children for the safety of both child and dog.
  18. I had a fan for Holli the whole time King :) it was directed at mum but was set to move, depending on how hot it was would depend on the speed I had the fan on :)
  19. Unfortunately just because he is within the standard weight range doesn't mean he isn't slightly overweight :) maybe you could take a kilo off give them a good groom and clip and stand them, take a good photo and people can give you a better opinion/critique :) at the moment the photos you posted dont do either dog justice
  20. You can visit the dogs in Quarantine anyway can't you? So if you did that on a weekly basis it wouldn't be hard on the dog at all as it would know you were coming back :) Although it is a terrible decision to make, you are right you do have to do what is best for the dog :) A dog may be for life but if you can no longer provide the life the dog deserves then you are doing the right thing :) I'm sure you will do the right thing by your dog :)
  21. You don't need to be excused, I am not "having a go" at you... :) and I don't see the point in starting another thread to answer a couple of questions :) all good never mind
  22. So it's different when someone asks you questions that relate to the breeding of your dogs? or Is this because you can't answer the questions I asked? Could I therefore assume you have no knowledge on the breed or what you were hoping to achieve by the breeding....sorry if I sound harsh but this is exactly the reception you are giving the OP.... No there are no regulations. But I do belong to the breed Club. And I have no intention of discussing my dog in this thread.
  23. Please don't go on about the stupidity of the German Shepherd Dog Club, Fact is your a registered ANKC breeder, that was also planning to breed an unregistered, non ANKC recognized breed? is there not regulations around this? So can I ask you why you planned to breed your white shepherd? What qualities does she have, what are her faults and why you chose the sire you did? I am genuinely interested :)
