  1. Thanks Susan, I know that there is a spray or something out there as well, but I don't want to be spraying chemicals out the backyard, with her out there. The canynne pepper might be a good option as its only a natural powder. I don't think it will stop her though, she officially starting digging today, ripping grass and then dug a small hole, the FUN begins :p Adam.
  2. Hi All, Just wondering if there is some magic way to stop our Puppy from eating the flowers out the back, we only have 2 pots out the back. We kind of expected it would happen, and know there is probably nothing we can really do to stop it. So if you have any advice or good training tips, would be great to know! Thanks, Adam.
  3. It is personal choice, and I think this thread has become too inflamed, I had over 9 people, virtually run me down through private message for wanting to feed Nutro Large Breed Puppy to my 9 week old puppy. Each dog food no matter how expensive or what brand, will have it's pros and it cons, so it is the owners choice in what too feed.
  4. Going well at the moment, last night only woke up once at 1am, and she was put to sleep at 8:30. I think she is slowly starting to learn now. She loves her crate though, as soon as she has done her business at night she climbs back in and doesn't cry or whimper like the first few nights. Getting a lot easier, now this weekend we will have a go at starting her basic training as in Sit and Lie Down. Think it may take a while as she is very playful. ;)
  5. I had a look at the Large and Giant Breed Puppy Formula in the Eagle Pack Holistic range, and do like the looks of it. The protein isn't too high at 23%, which should promote slow and not rapid growth. Now when they say Lamb Meal and Chicken Meal, what is that exactly, is that everything of the animal as Gomez the Norfolk was mentioning earlier? Or human grade only? Also brown and white rice is the second and third ingredient, isn't the purpose to just be a filler? Sorry for driving many of you crazy, but it's a very hard choice.
  6. Thanks for the tip BlackLabrador, Last night was our first night, I put her in her crate just before 9pm. At around 11pm I took her out and straight away 5 minutes apart she did both her wees and poos. And used her word 3 times while she was doing her business, and a lot of praise straight after. I woke up again at 1:30 and she did her wees straight away, so I waited around 15 minutes and she kept sniffing the grass etc, ( I think she could see the grasshoppers or cockroaches jump, there were a few). She didn't do any poos. Just took her out now at 5:15am and straight to business with both. First night she did not soil in her cage, hopefully we can get her used to enough to learn completely. Will keep you updated.
  7. Just took her out for the first time now since 8:30, did both wees and poos (that was after 2 hours). Will leave her 3 hours this time till 1:30 and then again 4:00am. Hopefully get her learning, and bladder control.
  8. Gomes the Norfolk...YUK, didn't realise it had all that in it! What rubbish how can they even produce that, I knew what all the By-Product stood for and that was why I went for the Nutro as it seemed to be a nice all round clean product. Im confused and it will probably take me a while to figure out which path I'm going to go down. I just can't wait to take her the Supercoat thats all.
  9. Any one tried Advance? Australian Company, so might be a good one.
  10. Sorry I dont know what happened the text was there earlier. But my questions was how often to wake up to get her out to do her business and that type of thing. I just put her in now after she went poos, thought would go and take her out every 3 hours after that, does that seem right? Or should it be shorter timeframe. Also should I keep water in the crate with her, or get her to drink after going out to do her business. Thanks
  11. if you go to www.menufoods.com. youwill find a list of all recalled food in states - nutro is amongst them! But have we been affected here? Which Premium food would you recommend then?
  12. That was so worth watching, so glad Im moving over to Nutro now.
