Raw Meat: Where Do You Get It?
Miss Monster replied to laffi's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I was looking at www.caninecountry.com.au website and it doesn't have anything about rabbit but they do have a lot of stuff! I went there the other day and got some Eagle pack. Big dog - link previously provided are mainly like ready made Barf mixes. Wouldn't have a clue where to get rabbit from! -
Ring the vet and ask them - my boy had me worried when he swallowed a whole Mango seed!

Thanks guys, boiling some chicken breast now - see how that goes for tomorrow and I'll take him to the Vet Monday if he's no better. He just seems so fine - If I didn't see the poo's I wouldn't be worried about him at all!

Bakari (6 month old Ridgeback) has had "sloppy" poos the last couple of days. We went camping and he got into another dogs tinned food (he could stretch further on his run than I thought) so I figured that is what gave him the upset tummy. But since then it's been hit and miss - I find some that are just slop and others that are firm enough to hold the shape but aren't nuggets like normal. (really gross I know Sorry!) Neither of the other dogs that went are sick at all. I've been trying to bland down his food since yesterday (mixing in rice with his dry - Hills Science) (I am swapping over to Eagle Pack once his tummy is right again). He poo'ed out a paddlepop stick he ate the other day so I don't think it's a blockage, He's still playing, drinking, eating the same as normal. Doesn't seem to be anymore lethargic than he normally is when it's raining. I've just been reading some of the previous posts and a few have mentioned to not feed him a meal or 2 then try bland stuff? Or should I get him to the vet tomorrow?

I'm guessing it's Clarkie? I've seen him with a few congrats on show wins (from lurking in the Pointers thread) Hope everything is ok Warley! -
Happy Birthday Rom! Hope you have a wonderful day!

I use 'toilet' for Bakari for both - he's nearly 6 months now and hasn't had an accident inside for about 5 weeks. When I'm outside and I see him going I say the command just to make sure he gets it. He's pretty good at letting us know - if we are in the car he'll cry until we stop to let him know and we leave the back door open a bit when we're home so he can go out when he wants a drink/needs to go. I was thinking about 'do wees' but my OH flatly refused to say 'do wee's' to his dog

We are trying for a family and my doctor told me that I should stay away from Dog poo while I'm pregnant that it's not just cat poo that you can get it from? One of my breeders pets had neospora so she told me about freezing the meat first - apparently if a bitch gets neospora she can't be mated as it can be passed down to the pups - males don't pass it on though?

This week - 23 weeks old... Last baby puppy show on the weekend - no competition in his class and got beaten by his sister again in challenge - but the breeder said that the girls normally do get it when they are little because the boys look so gangly! This was how he fell asleep in the car on the way to the show - the seat wasn't comfy so he slid into the foot well and kept his head on the seat. I had a pillow on the lounge today - came out to find that he had pulled it off the lounge - pulled it under the fan and had curled up to sleep

Well I fell over lifting Bakari out of the car yesterday and have fractured my elbow - in a sling now he better learn loose leash walking pretty quick cos my left arm isn't strong enough to hold him!!! He's been very good today coming up and licking my sore arm then going and lying on his bed instead of jumping up to hug me, and he wont let me out of his sight, even when I went to the loo he pawed the door open to make sure I was ok 19 weeks old and lost his first tooth this week!

Could it be that you are chopping and changing the diet so much? I know we ran out of food one night and missed the pet shop so bought other stuff and he had the runs until he'd been back on his normal food for a few days... Food changes are supposed to be gradual as they have very sensitive tummies?
