I have a clip mat thing cant remember what its called but got it at pet stock 20$ you clip the mats into it only problem is mats are expensive if you use them alot

Lucy loves milk and does not have a problem but she has had it in small doses since the begining

Is molassas good for dogs? I mixed some into lucy food (shes a fussy eater too) and she loved it we used to give it too our horse but is it good dogs???

To showdog I belive I said "Resting" Not sleeping !!!!!!!!!!! as in a dog that is relaxed and calm Never would you do this when they are asleep and yes it is to get them used to going to the vet or if you have to check them or somthing

Well said kirbydog nipping can not be tolerated under any circumstances I was niped by a BC when I was little I was not tomenting her only feeding her but there was a thunderstom and she used to go nuts during storms it was not a big bite but they have big mouths that can do a lot of damage to a small child I was told by a breeder that when the puppies are little and resting on your lap or something poke and prod play with it ears put your hands in it mouth ect. Not to hurt them or torment them and not where children can see you and copy but so the dog gets used to getting things done to them Sound mean and people will be horrified but then the dog grows up much more tolerant not just with kids but when they have to go to the vet

Yes that was the vet explanation she had stopped rubbing her head and they had a look up her nose and listened to her chest which was clear according to them dog can get "cold's" but its a virus that’s different then humans get and they catch it form other dogs but they normally have a temperate as she didn’t that was their explanation but we are going Monday for a check up as she is still sneezing in the morning but she is eating and acting fine so we are going to wait till Monday and just keep her warm dry and away from other dogs we shall see I guess

thanks every one shes ok nothing stuck would you belive she had a chill and they said she gets excited and sucks in to much cold air they going to keep an eye on her if she starts coughing or anything we are to bring her back right away but we are booked in on monday otherwise for a check up

she has been Vac with C4 at 6 weeks shes due for booster on monday she wil be 14 weeks she is rubbing her head and sniffing now so we are off to the vet tonight. Can dogs catch colds ? we all have a slight cold at our house not super bad just runny noses and stuff

its only once in a while like every 1/2 hour or so like if somone would have a cold she ate a little of her food but then tryed to eat the cats food so I gess she can still smell

up her nose you mean? like pepper or somthing ? I cant see anything but she has got very small little nostrils other than looking with a flash light is ther a better way to look

HI as above should I be worried she has no discharge out of her nose and is eating a little But she has been sneezing for 2 days now It was really cold the last few days and she ran around in the rain for about 15 min and she run's in and out most of the day

ok im going to sound really dumb here but when you say pulverised do you mean put in a food prosseser untill it a puree and if so how pureed liquid or just small bits

I know Im going to sound very nutty here but the recipe for Lucys food has 2kg chicken 1kg veg 6 wheat bix 250g of pasta and 350g of rice +eggs, flax seed oil , calcium, muti vit I just figuered that the rice and pasta were for Carbs and Ruffage Im a bit of a health nut my self though so I have added lean lamb mince use lean chicken breast meat and swaped the white rice for brown rice and was going to change the white pasta for oats and because they are higher vitamins slower burning energy and basiclly I dont like or really have "white products" in the house

Are oats Bad for dogs? I was thinking of adding it as the filler to Lucys Fresh food instead of pasta which was in the recipe ?

I fully simpathise with feeling like your saying "NO" all day and the toy thing yep simpathise with you there too its like have another child onlly with really sharp teeth that can jump

my puppy Lucy does this with my daughter it like Lucy thinks my daughteris a puppy too with advice from others I told her to say "no more" and push her gentlly away and if that does not work yell once really high pitch (like a puppy does when they have had enough) and stand up and get on the couch ( lucy too small and cant get up there) this works and lucy stop's the rough playand settles for a cuddle but my daughter is 4 1/2 so she can do this with 1 year old no idea other then supervise and take her away when it become's too much

I gess my cav is just a wimp she can chew through a chicken wing no problem but put the dry EHP food down and it "o so big" she chews each peice sep. then carrys on unless it is soaked or bashed HMMMM i think she is training me

the only problem I have found with EPH is the bits(kibble) are a bit big for my dog but she is only a 2 kg CKC so I ether have to soak it or bash it up a bit

BARF is not super hard to make if you make it in large batches and freze it but it can be expensive ( we use organic flax seed oil , human grade chicken breast mince , ect..) and getting the right balance for your first recipe can be hard there are some people that really know ther stuff on this sight so they should be able to help you , I use EP holistic Chicken and Rice as a back up it workes well Lucy had ichy skin on the other brands this one seems ok so far
