Sorry the wee girlie has gone. BBJ was looking after them to day, I am just about to go home and see what is happening.

Unfortunatly we hit the October thread. Cleo had to have Caesar last night as she started passing meconium yesterday afternoon. 6 pups, 2 where dead and maserated. 2 Tricolour boys 1 tricolour girl and 1 blenheim girl. 1 of the boys did not resusitate well and died 2 hours after birth. They are obviously prem and are not doing too well.

Its the pregnacy giving her a sway back.

Ah Huh thats probably where I gained the info from. I read her book word by word before my first litter. :D I find the bottom nipples get milk about 7.5 to 8 weeks. They have enlarged before this. Be interesting to watch my next maiden to see what occurs.

I assume that its labs/goldies??

May be abandoning this thread and moving to October. Few contractions overnight and milk is up to third row of nipples. Vagina looking big. By her first mating it could have been Tuesday but I did not feel anything 3 weeks out from that. The next mating makes it next Tuesday. :rofl: All in the lap of the gods.

Is that usually a sign in your breed? I only ask because I've never found it to be reliable. In fact, Vanni had milk in ALL nipples about 3 weeks ago. Ellz I do not know about the breed in general but I have noticed in my girls that its usually within 24 hours once they have milk in top nipples. In my current 2 girls the top nipples are very tiny and not well developed, 11 by the way, but do get milk. Latest is a few contractions overnight vagina looking big and a bit of mucous. This afternoon would be perfect as I only work half a day.

I may have to get jerojath to move me into the October thread. Milk up to 3rd row of nipples late last night. Will see what tonight brings when I get home from work. BBJ set the whelping box up today.

Yes....as posted....all I'm doing is bolding a couple of existing words. There are FIVE to SIX brand spanking new Staffordshire Bull Terrorists due IN November (my previously listed unconfirmed litter for the 26th is now confirmed). ;) I read it as 5-6th of November. ;)

Bindi Boo I suggest you do as much socialization with the litter sister as you can. This will help her adapt. A memember on here has a dog that was not socialized well and she has food aggression and fear aggression, both of theses are not cav traits. Enjoy Georgea.

Depending on what it was at 8 weeks. EG if 2 kilos at 8 weeks then maybe 3 kilos at 14 weeks. Also depend on how big at birth.

Ellz that's not a small thing - I've been sleeping each night with my 'expecting Mum' with my hand on her feeling the puppies! I think it's very special. It doesn't last long, so enjoy it now. :p Edit to add - My expecting wife would probably rather I was sleeping beside HER with my hand on HER belly! Nah kids hang around longer than dogs.

I would take 63 days from first mating and last mating. Therefore if it was last Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday it would be 9th-12th of December.
