You can set up on the show ring "grass" as long as you put down a tarp or mat. Strict instruction re dog poo or wee, has to be washed. Stuff supplied. At one side there is big roller door. If its hot maybe an idea to set gazebos up out there if the surface is okay. Have not been out that side. New ramp has been put in at the door closest to the club so makes it easier to get in.

BBJ and I show 2 boys that are notorious for cocking on anything. But I make them go outside/away from things and put belly bands on them. It really peeves me when people allow hire dog to cock on the ringside bins particularly inside at KCC.

Bummer none of those dates suit me. March to early, May to late.

I stared my ruby girl at 5 years took her a few shows to get the drift but now loves it. Has a few reserves and 1 CC. BBJ did report that a Judge siad thankyou for bringing her out. She is now 7 Mind you she really only matured around 4 years.

We had a great weekend. Good results too. What would the possibility of putting a surcharge on the entries to cover security on Friday and saturday nights?? Our area of Gazebos was not attacked but we did discuss this option and everyone felt it was a good idea. I am not sure what the entries are until I look at the catalogue but say 450 @ $2 gives you $900 which would easily cover someone to wander around, and if it was $4.00 you could have two people.

I spoke to Joan Hoare today and she states that thre may not be one, due to poor turnup last time. I feel this would be a big shame so I hope if they do have one in February its well supported.

Apart from the poo the other thing that really really shits me is people who groom their dogs and let the fur fly around and/or lie on the ground. :rofl: :D :D :D

Well some great news from our weekend of showing. Saturday16th Clarelly Ring A Ring A Rosie, Rosie, was awarded Intermediate of Group. :D And I missed it. I swapped Rev for Rosie and walked off to put him away on his cool mat and then BBJ comes in with a fringie. :rofl: Another bit of trivia. On Saturday night BBJ and myself went out for dinner with Blakbelgain and CaptainCourageous and Capanash and another skip owner, her mother and grandmother. We were at the Benalla Gliding Club. Capanash said to put Zarah in Vegas's pen as he was out sitting on her knee, (we were outside the clubhouse). I said Zarah will jump out of that, she says no way. (Her dog Vegas is a standard poodle) I said put her in and watch. Thinking she would jump out and come to us. From a sitting /crouch Zarah leaps over the pen about 1 1/4 metres high and takes off on to the airstrip. She led everyone on a merry dance trying to get a bit of recall out of her. She finally gave up and came up to me very proud of herself. The funny thing was the waitress was called Zara/h and she was wondering why she could hear Zarah come being called out. :D :D

I support the statement that not all vets suck like not all doctors suck, probably mire than vets, but I am a nurse so I am allowed to be biased. My vet is brilliant but he would quite happily not microchip my 8 wek old puppies as the Vic law is very weak in this area. I have "educted" him and made him do my first litter after the legislation changed. His knowledge of breeding apart from the anatomical aspects is less than mine but then he has never bred. I do not have a problem with this we often share info and he is coming around to my use of natural remedies. He keeps up to date acadedemicaly (??sp)nd often shares new info. BTW see my comment in other vet thread re wages.

Such a gorgeous girl...! I was very fortunate enough to have met her myself last Friday evening, such a pretty head and ears! Congratulations on winning Baby Of Breed, I am only so sorry that I missed her debut! She got baby of breed today as she was the only griffie apart from Sue's Rory that was not to hard.

If Joan is at Benalla I will ask her.
