  1. I weaned my pups onto a skinned, scored piece of chicken Maryland. Was hilarious watching them suck and try to chew but they didn't need any instruction!
  2. My pups stop eating chicken necks at 5 weeks because they swallow them. You have been given lots of sound advice to switch to quartered/half/whole frames.
  3. I've put Zig on Canine MSM Glucosamine & Chindroiten Powder. Bought on eBay - made/distributed by zobil.com.au Came highly recommended by a lot of Greyhound and working dog people. Very economical. Zig didn't have a particular issue but I was stunned by the difference within a week. I've put Em on it as a preventative.
  4. So much norty in such a little body  Congratulations Rozzie!!!
  5. May the fridge and oven doors be ever open for you Stan
  6. Wow DD! I can't imagine that happening at an agility trial here!!!
  7. You need really good timing as a trainer as you can make it worse. I hesitate to describe how I do it on the Internet but it should be all about rewarding the behaviour you like. Do not growl at him. Where are you based?
  8. Same here. I stop chicken necks by 6 weeks and by 9 weeks I prefer chicken frames not wings because they just gobble them with not much chewing. Personally I would be working through any resource guarding quick smart. That jumped out at me too, I'd get onto that now, little bugger! Not that uncommon surprisingly with chicken wings etc! Easy to fix sooner rather than later though.
  9. If she is "swallowing the bones" as in not munching up much before swallowing, it might be already time to move to something bigger, like a 1/2 a raw chicken carcass, to slow down eating and ensure a bit more chewing. Agree. Bones that are swallowed quickly means they are a bit small. I feed whole small frames to my 14 week old and the adults get them frozen.

  11. Wow! Gorgeous! Is that Afghan puppy zoomies???
  12. Yay! Good on you for standing your ground
  13. Em loves having her ears brushed out - doesn't matter if they are full of knots and prickles and thorns after a weekend of trialling. Zig likes a very gentle scratch - around his head and neck. Ginny...no idea....she doesn't keep still for long enough!!!
  14. Thanks. Good to know the labelling has been changed. If you have trouble try my vet maybe? I had this chat with him 4 + years ago and he's really on board.
  15. They can if they choose to...Mine is happy to. The labelling allows discretion now.
  16. I do annual check ups though - with all the crew.
  17. The regular C3 can be used every 3 years no problem. My vet talks about C7 because my Springers are working dogs so may be at more risk. But I haven't gone that way as yet.
  18. 5 days? Yes - agree. Vet immediately.
  19. Sounds very odd! I would be videoing pup in the crate and seeing if she is actively peeing or leaking.
  20. Did you prog test? It's 63 days from ovulation not mating. The latter will give you a wider range of dates. Otherwise X-ray and/or ultrasound is what I do the week prior to due date.
  21. Aren't they great! Love to see a pic of your set up Rozzie if you have a moment. It's great for getting more ideas :D
  22. Same offer stands for you TSD, if you cant get your mates up soon enough let me know and I can find someone for you, just shoot me a PM. They're all licenced and responsible :) Thanks BL - much appreciated.
