Things I've learnt about training dogs....

• If a dog doesn't do as it's told it's either confused or underpaid.
• Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
• My dogs are good for my ego. My cats bring me back down to earth.
• Insanity: doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results (Albert Einstein).
• Reinforcement based training where both the trainer and the dog are enjoying every step of the process. The dog is allowed to experiment with the boundaries of that which is and is not going to earn his reinforcement (Susan Garrett).
