  1. May his young bones return and carry him like a boy across green pastures, pain free and energy in abundance :p
  2. Mel & Brett She'll walk beside you every day. The flash from the corner of your eye that you just can't quite make out that's her running around you. That warm sensation on your calf as you sit at your chair at work, that's her settling in beside you for a hard day at the office and that soft warm feel on your face as you lay in bed, that's her saying good night getting ready to watch over you. She'll be with you always. RIP Buffy :p
  3. Ok. Well I will post and if they belong to you please PM me. Cheers 2 3 4 5 Let me know. Cheers
  4. Hi I thought this may be the place to post this. I attended the BC's specialty at Erskine Park in March and my OH caught some good shots, but we do not know who the dogs are and who they belong to. I thought that maybe with approval I could post the photos here and if they belong to anyone I am happy to forward the photos onto the owners. Here is a sample shot and being a Tri I thought some one may know the dog and the owners. Cheers
  5. Hi Hesapander Yeah I wasn't to sure where to post as there is an additional number of questions that may make it allowable in General Discussion where I have posted the topic. I am wanting to open a business and want to complete some research before I do and I thought that I may capture a greater audience in there. If I need to move it do you know how I can. Cheers Julie
  6. Sorry to annoy you Delta Charlie just thought it may arose some interest for people who are in here and was just about to go to bed. Sorry if this is the wrong thing to do. Please accept my apoligise. Cheers
  7. Hi I have posted a poll in General discussion with respect to the above. Would you all be kind enough to answer the poll for me please. Cheers
  8. Fifi so sorry to hear of your loss, may Navarre now run free at the bridge and that every beautiful leaf that the tree produces be a sign of Navarre showing his love to you.
  9. It was 12 months ago today that I gave my girl her wings. And memories come flooding back of all the good that she use to bring. I miss her dearly, her smile, her chat, but most of all I miss giving her a pat. I only have the memories now as she won't be coming back. The memories of the cuddles and sometimes the walks she didn't get 'cause that's when I was slack. I know she feels no more pain and thunderstorms she does not fear. And just when I thinks she's gone for good I still feel her oh so near. Run free you gorgeous girl. I love you very much. And the day that we meet again at Rainbows Bridge I look forward to your touch. I miss you Till :D Run free with Chad
  10. What a handsome handsome handsome man. Just gorgeous. RIP Lucky Run free at the bridge where it is eternally summer
  11. Thanks that's good to hear Cheers Julie as well ;)
  12. My boy is about to take part in hydro therapy for what will be the best part of 6 weeks. My biggest concern for him is his coat being damaged by the chlorine. Has anyone had their dog in Hydro therapy and if so is there any recommendation of products I may be able to use to protect his coat? Cheers
  13. Thank you so much for your kind offer. It is a shame I'm not in Sydney. Good idea re the mobile groomers. I have looked on EBay and can get one on my credit card but I would have to run it passed the OH and there are so many other expenses at the moment. ;)
  14. I need some help. I have entered my boy into the Ekka and to get him ready I need to get my hands on a dyer. I don't have the money to buy one outright, but was wondering if anyone would know if there is anywhere in Brisbane that I could hire one? Cheers
  15. I know what you mean Benny with the bed rest :D Like how can that happen when his playmate is 5 week younger then him. He has been on is anti inflammatories for 10 days now and appears to be no better but no worse. I took the advise of one of the DOL's and got in contact with the Big Dog people here in Brissie and took him with me for them to have a look at as they specalise in Greyhounds and I value the advise of perfomance dog people. Well he stretched, not over doing it, and he pulled and he said there was no reaction there, pain wise and that it may all be in his head seeing he is getting attention from all of it. But to be on the safe side I will have it x-rayed next week when I see the vet and see how he goes from there. Thanks once again everyone. Cheers
  16. I have a follow up appointment early next week with my vet I will bring it up with her then. everyone
  17. I don't know if this will help, but since my 2 BC's have been 4 months old I have given them a blend of Optimum Puppy and Science Diet Large Breed Puppy. They get 2/3's of a cup of each every night along with some wet food (minimal mind you). Each morning the get a chicken wing (raw) they are 6 and 7 months respectfully and I will look at introducing adult dry food when the hit 10 - 11 months. Cheers
  18. Do you think so? He is still weight bearing but limping Cheers
  19. Thanks everyone for getting back to me. I thought for the first time no one had anything to offer so I hadn't checked. I will call the greyhound man Thank you. In respect to where all my vet told me was he was tender in the elbow area, and yes it is his front right leg. As I am not familiar with the dog soft tissue bits and pieces it is hard for me to tell you exactly where, but on his elbow. He has been on anit inflammtories for 9 days now and it does not seem to be getting any better. I would love to book him into some sort of Animal health retreat as the crying breaks my heart and I let him out of the crate and he then runs around like a mad man with the 6 month old bitch. I know I know keep him in the crate, but that is why I am asking for other suggestions in addition to the crating. Thanks everyone.
  20. There is a product on the market called Plush Puppy and it is called Wonder Wash. You can either spray it onto them direct and then rub them down with a towel or you can spray it onto a damp corner of a towel and rub in, it will lather and then dry them off with the dry part of the towel. I use it at the shows on my Border Collie and it is fantastic. You can either order it on line or go online and see where there is a stockist near you. Hope this helps. Cheers
  21. In addition to rest what else can be done to assist in the repair of the ligaments. My puppy has injured the ligaments in his elbow, being a manic with his playmate. He is 7 months old and I was wondering if there is a supplement or anything else that may be suggested. Cheers
  22. What a beautiful, beautiful handsome boy he is. He will always live in your heart and you can not get any closer than that. When you feel the warmth on your leg know he is with you. RIP Handsome man
  23. I feel for you at this time and know what it is like to have to say good bye to your best friend. For me the return of the ashes are the home coming and I knew that my dogs would never have to leave me again. Run free little Jesse James
  24. How sad for the dog and especially for the owners, my heart goes out to them. I know this is not the place for comment but I can't help myself to say how wrong that decision by the ranger was ;) ;)
