I have been a raw feeder for 15 years. I start the pups on a sloppy dry food, so they can lap and then gradually add the raw food in ie: mince for a couple of day and then start to add the normal food but finely grounded. I use BIG DOG for this and I have a link on my website if you want to check them out. Hope this helps

Yes she has been spayed about a month ago She needs to go back to the vet asap Thaks for getting back to me and sorry for the delay. Why do you say asap. Apparently she has been doing this for quite a few months and before she was spayed. Thank you again. Your response has made me quite anxious

I received an email from one of my puppy owners tonight in regards to her puppy. And this is what she wrote did want to ask one thing though, she wets herself everytime she sleeps. I figure it's a puppy thing but now i'm not so sure. We bath her and it's almost like she does it on purpose because she doesn't like the smell of the shampoo. Just thought i'd ask, i've been meaning to ask the vet next time we talk to her.. Any hints??? Any clues?? Cheers

Thank you so much everyone for your feedback and help. My girl at the moment is covered in spots and it's quite distressing for both of us as it jsut spread like wild fire. I hadn't had an opportunity to get back on here and I went to the chemist on Friday and got her some EDP podwer as it has the iodine in it and it has a drying agent. It seemed to soothe it very quickly. I will try what has been suggested to me by all of you to find which treatment works best for her. Thank you all once again I appreciate the suggestions :D

Google " TOM LONSDALE" you will get a great deal of info from his books. I have ever only feed my dogs a raw meaty bone diet and would not trust anything. Tom became my vet some 15 years ago whilst I was living in Sydney and I am so glad I got to learn from him. Good luck

Hi I have 2 Border Collies bitches that are suffering with "Hot Spots" It is spreading like wildfire. I have been to the vets and have them on antihistamens (sp?) and anti biotics and have been told to wash them every day in Malaseb and then dry them with the dryer. My vet said it is a bacterial infection and to keep them dry but with lonmg coats, rain and me working full time it all seems a little impossible to keep them dry. I was recommended Medi Pulve powder. Has anybody used this?? Or is there something else someone may be able to recommend/ Cheers

Hi Sway I just checked your site and searched my prefix that you added right at the very beginning and it wasn't there. I haen't read through the whole thread so I don;t know with the new version I was omitted as you didn't know my breed. If this is the case I am a Border Collie :D :D Oh yeah and my prefix is BONDUCA just forgot that

Google Dr Tom Lonsdale. He was my vet when I was in Sydney and has witten a number of books on this subject. I used his diet and I am still using it. :D Cheers
