Hmm, if you have gripes about show sec/cataloguers then start your own thread. And after numbering and entering over 700 dogs, believe me, there are more than a 'few' errors received. Maybe you should take a stint as show sec! and see how your fingers are with staple wounds and how your phone bill is after more than a 'few' calls to confirm what show, what day is supposed to be entered, what is the rego number, how many stamps you have to add, how many envelopes take a hell of a lot of juggling to fit numbers in, how much sticky tape you have gone through on crappy envelopes etc etc. I have no gripe at all with any Show Secretary's at all, they are great people and always very helpful. I suppose I am just over whinging in general and I feel that it is more constructive to offer a solution then a whinge. IE: If it is an ongoing offender then they must learn the hard way. Maybe if a first time show puppy buyer buys a puppy from you then maybe they should be given an example entry....just a few idea. Another is to get people to put their email address on the back of the entries to reduce unnessecary costs to the Show Secs, I know not everyone has an email address but most do and should you need to send stuff back and make phone calls to people then hold their numbers and charge them for the costs on the day. To them it would be minimal but I understand it would be a mounting costs when there are alot in the one show. Print this in the show add so people are aware. Any errors do not send the entries back just collect at the end. That's what I wanted to type but I was too tired and could not get my words right....................And yes be thankful for the entries I am involved in my club in a committee capacity and will assist my show sec to some extent so I will see first hand what you mean Without you show Secs none of us would be able to get to a show.............but please be constructive and not destructive that's all. And thank you for wanting to do the job

I would really like to enter a reply in this thread but I am too tired and it would comeout all wrong....so all I will say is be thankful that your show gets entries and not all caught up in the few errors you receive

For Jed What does one say to the tribute post you made to your lost dogs under the most horrific of circumstances. I can only say Jed that my heart breaks for you and the loss you must be feeling. I can not start to imagine how this time must be for you. One thing I do know is that the words brave and courageous were used to describe you and your actions but they, Jed, are understatements to the person that you are. You are a unique soul and I only wish I could find the most appropriate word or words to describe what you have done for the love of your dogs. My heart and respect go out to you at this time. I found it impossible to post here for you when the news first broke and I could only write "For Jed" as the overwhelming sadness I felt for you would not allow me to do anything other. Now though I am finding it impossible to find the words again. May good fortune shine down on you and bring you a speedy physical recovery and may the beautiful memories and every lick on the face from your remaining dogs, mend your broken heart.

I'll be checking as I feel your excitment...I have been out of the ring for a year and I can't wait to get back in with my little package ;)

I know nothing about Rotti comformation but I really like to look of Mr Maroon and Mr Light Blue well to me he just seems to have it all.....does seem a little smaller then Mr Maroon but Mr light blue just seems to have a wicked ( meaning very good ) head...absolutely stunning :D Thank you so much for sharing your pics of your puppies I just wanted to scream cause they are sooooooooo cute. Yes I am and I can't wait. I have entered my first home bred puppy into the baby class. Whilst I know it will be a big day for her I am hoping it will not be to over whelming for her and here she is.....so but I am so excited

Was just thinking about this thread the other day, and about how much has happened since I posted this photo. 'Pink girl' is, indeed, the little pup I kept, registered as Straitup Raise Thebar aka 'Casey', and she is now 19 and a half weeks old and has exceeded my expectations by winning Baby in Show not once, but TWICE in only 7 outings, both times with different group/specials judges. So I certainly can't complain I guess now my goals for this year are for continued success at group/show level and also to pick up some nice challenges when the time comes but for now, I'm just enjoying her and enjoying the baby class - not in any hurry for her to grow up!!
