I was bitten by a JR and spent two days in hospital and had to have surgery to stop the infection from spreading. I didn't make the papers either :) but the Doctor did ask "What breed of Dog" and proceeded to laugh at the Jack Russell named.....I bet it didn't make the statics for dog bites.

Poor little fellow...I hope he heals well and that his Mother has had the BIGGEST WAKE UP call

I have added Apple Cider vinegar to dogs food and also dipped feet in a 1/2 water 1/2 ACV with good results. Good luck.

:) I have had this happen with Cavaliers with no problems at all. The Aunties hopped in and shared the cleaning of pups BUT there was no distress to Mum at all. I must add that the Aunties and the Mum shared the whelping box during the delivery and they cleaned the pups in turn. Your situation might be a little different with 10 pups but as long as you supervise Mum and make sure she is not too stressed I would say that Aunty Poodle is just clucky and trying to help Mum out.

AWWW the pics of the boys (Digby is adorable) are so heart-warming, they look so much better each day. Thanks again for the photo updates it really makes me feel part of their recovery.

Thanks for that info...... I hadn't even thought of that since I got my cordless phone but then again I have the mobile.....ummmm how would I charge it.....OK off to dig out a phone with cord. :D George is a very smart boy and I am so glad he was saved.

:laugh: Sorry for laughing but Cavaliers are called Hoovers by us... My Cav had 3 litters and delivered 3, 3 and 2 the thing is she was sooooo hungry all the time just like you described. I added raw vegs and rice to fill her up. Good luck with Crissy and I look forward to seeing cav pics :)
